Jumping rope on a rebounder sounds like "Ouch" for me...I'm exceptionally clumsy...

Hi, my name is Anita, and I'm from central Ohio. I loved jumping rope when I was a kid, and reached a point in my adulthood where I was too heavy to do it any more. After I actually lost enough weight and got fit enough to try to resume it, I had reconstructive surgery on my foot, that precludes any form of jumping on solid surfaces. Well, I found all hope was NOT lost. I started jumping on a rebounder. This is an amazing workout in and of itself, but I still found that I wanted to add a rope. Unfortunately my ceilings are too low for my 5'11" body on my rebounder with a jump rope. For Christmas, I asked for a JumpSnap electronic jumprope and have been jumping in a safe, alternative style, and getting stronger every day. I'd love to join you all in jumping rope to get and stay fit.
