I'm a 57 year old woman that has a total of 83 lbs to lose to reach a decent weight where I can possibly get off of blood pressure pills and also not hurt so much from RA of the spine. I've been told by my doctor that the less extra weight I'm carrying the less stress there will be on my joints. I don't expect to lose it fast. It took me 8 years to put on all the weight. My goal is to drop 2-4 lbs every month and keep it off til I reach my 83 lb goal. I am married to Bob and he's just had to get a pacemaker/defibrullator in March 2013, and is still adjusting to having a very weak heart (20% heart strength), so I tend to stress over his health a lot, and when I'm stressing out, I tend to eat more than I should. So I will be working on making healthier food choices over time.

My name is Meg and I am 34 years old. I have 2 children, 14 yr old daughter and a 2 week old son. I had a c section so I am unable to work out till I get an ok from the doctor and I know even after the ok I will need to take it slow. My biggest challenges is eating. I spent most of my pregnancy not being hungry and since I contracted c diff the last 2 weeks I have not been hungry either. My biggest fear is gaining a ton of weight once my appetite comes back strong.

Hi! I'm Ashlee, I'm 23 and a (prospective) nursing student..working on it slowly but surely. I've known about SP for years, but could never quite stick with it. I decided to try over because for the last 5 weeks I've begun a completely different lifestyle and I wanted an easier way to track my intake and fitness.
I've lost 10 lbs since I began the last week of October, but my weight loss barely scratches the surface of benefits that I've felt since I began really paying attention to my body. I'm a much happier person, my blood pressure has gone down, and I've found the "running high" that many people have mentioned to me in the past. I also started a hot yoga class and it's amazing! I'm really excited to keep up with a healthy lifestyle and to discuss it with others, I'm always open to new suggestions.

Hi! I'm Mako and I am currently going on my third year of maintaining a 45 lbs. weight loss. Spark and the people here have made it so much easier to live the lifestyle that I want.
Last winter I did 60 days of Insanity and then decided to try running to try and keep the fitness level that I currently had. This was the billionth time I tried running, I hated running, and low and behold I now love running! I guess getting into shape make running a bit easier.
I have been running for eight months now and have done a 5K, 10K and a 1/2 marathon. My oldest daughter and I will be joining some cousins in April to do the Oklahoma City 1/2 Marathon. It should be lots of fun!
I have four kids ranging from 13 to 18 with my oldest a college freshman. We also have two dogs, a Siamese (for those cat people you know why I didn't just say cat) and a horse. All of the furkids belong to one of my kids as my "heart" dog and my once-in-a-lifetime horse died two years ago and within six months of each other. That was another reason for the new found love of fitness...too much time on my hands. (If that's possible with four kids!)
I was actually invited to join another group, but this one seems to fit me better. I hope to be a positive member and I look forward to getting to know you all better.

Hi! Thanks for the invite to the team. My name is Lori. I have been a Sp member for a few years and love it. I have good results then get thrown off by my health ( I am a cancer survivor!) and come back to restart. I am restarting now and looking forward to being a team member!
Hi, Thanks for the invite!! I've been on spark for a few years, but never that active until now. I've been really trying hard since October and its paying off. I'm eating "cleaner" and doing really well working on my portion control. Also I try to workout daily whether its more then an hour or only 15-30 mins as long as its something. I really like participating in my SparkTeams and I'm happy to be a member
