Hello everyone! My name is Kathryn and I'm a student at Queen's University in Canada. This site was recommended to me by my amazing mother - she's been a member for over a year and just loves it here! As a part-time student just moved out into my own place, my goals are to get out of the house at least once a day; walk at least 35k steps each week; swim at least once every three days; and learn how to eat well while cooking for myself. I'm not so interested in managing my weight, instead wanting to focus on building and toning muscles so that I feel fit and healthy. I've just picked up knitting and crochet again for the first time in over 10 years! I'm working on it quite a bit lately and it's helping me to keep my mind from wandering to thoughts that worsten my anxiety. I am trying to keep positive and am actually finding completing these little projects to be quite useful - not to mention a lot of fun! My kitten agrees that knitting is definitely a good thing - or at least, she loves that it means I have a half-dozen balls of yarn she gets to play with. I'm hoping to find inspiration through this site and the various groups here, maybe make a few friends to help me to continue thinking positively, and maybe even get my imagination to return from its vacation!
