I just read "The Dummies Mediterranean Diet Cookbook". It explains the lifestyle, what to eat, what foods you will need to stock your pantry, etc with. It also has meal plans, meal ideas and recipes. The book was well worth the $$$. I bought it at Barnes & Nobel for $20, but I'm sure that you can find it cheaper on line or at the Half Price Book Store (if you have one in your area). Like a lot of you, I've been reading a lot of articles on the Mediterranean diet and it seems to be a great plan! I'm trying to lose weight BEFORE a doctor diagnoses me with diabetes, high blood pressure, etc, and I want to do it in a healthy, sustainable way, without eating a lot of "fake" foods.
Can anyone recommend a good Mediterranean diet book? There are so many out there---I want to get the most helpful one!
