Greetings from Minnesota & Welcome to the group!!!
Yes ~ genealogy is addictive & time consuming! But I have the tunes cranked in the background and often will march while seated. Taking hour breaks really help!!!
Good luck with your healthy journey!!
My day is not complete until needle, thread & fabric meet!!
"In the final recollection, if the essence of my being has caused a smile to have appeared upon your face or a touch of joy within your heart, then in living I have made my work."
~Thomas L. Odem, Jr.
Welcome and good luck with your goals.
You didn't mention how addictive this hobby is. :-)
Slowly and surely wins the race.
Great to find this board. I have been doing genealogy for 20 years. I have enjoyed corresponding with and meeting relatives that otherwise would have forever been unknown to me. Learning about mine and my husband's roots has been a journey I couldn't have imagined, and well worth it all. On the negative side it can be an all consuming activity and it is possible to spend many hours sitting...something which can affect your weight and general health. So, to continue my diet and family history research and make it work!
Adding that I research mainly in the areas of Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia and Virginia.
