What thread are people posting to mostly? I don't think they are keeping up the Chat thread. Didn't check it today though. Just want to post to the most used thread to get any replies. Thanks Peggy for the deadfred. I read somewhere about the Family Tree Maker, because someone has been trying to talk me into buying the Brotherskeeper.com (BK) CD but I'm not sure. She's the only one I know using it. I think the Family Tree maker has connections to the Ancerstry.com. (AC) I'm only on AC for a month after the free trial period. She'll maybe a bit put out that I don't go with her site, I suppose. She is willing to help guide me though. But, $45 is a bit much for something I'm not sure about. When my AC time is over, I won't be able to make any more updates so I do need some kind of family tree that I can keep up. I"m getting a bit frustrated not being able to find the next step in my tree on one side. I did get some books at the library so maybe they will help in how to find people. I posted to some threads on AC, but they are old threads, people may not be on AC any more.
Welcome to the team. I'm new too. Just joined yesterday. So many questions and I don't know what current thread to use. Wondering what the best, inexpensive, genealogy site to use. Has anyone heard of Brotherskeeper.com?

Hi all. My name is Jenn and I'm new here to the group/SparkPeople. I have been enjoying researching my family history though so far I've found it to be a lonely hobby. But I found this group and I'm looking forward to connecting with other people who enjoy it too!
