Welcome to the team. A lot of wonderful people are here to support you. I echo their comments about taking your time. This program is about changing how you live your life every day, not just for a short diet. I am 66 and just joined SP last September; so far I have lost 14 pounds. As you can see, that is a slow but steady loss. But I feel much better and am significantly healthier. Try for some goals in that direction and the weight will take care of itself. Good luck!

Welcome, so glad you have managed to get into the flow of things. I would love to do things like Zumba but when I did I felt like I'd been hit by a truck (I'm close to 66) so I stick to walking slow and fast but lots. We have two dogs who love it when I run but are so happy when I slow down too. We have a rescue pitbull I tie around my waist and he is content to just do what I do. My little schnauzer/poodle cross loves to run free while I am really moving but settles in behind me when I slow down. The difference is that they nap when we get home and I have to cook and prepare meals.

Nice to have you on the team. Try not to do too much too soon. The whole point of this team is "slow and steady". Focus on making changes that you can live with for the long haul. This site has lots of great tools and support. Reading articles and being active on the message boards will help you reach your goals. Good Luck on your journey.

Welcome! Take it one day at a time, one small change at a time. Pick changes you can stick with for the long run and don't try to make too many changes at once, it will be too overwhelming. Good luck!!

Hi everyone I'm new to the Spark programme and I seriously don't know what I'm doing but in the last 2 days managed to do the food charts. That in itself takes time to do. I'm a bit disappointed because at the moment I'm not able to do much exercising due to neck probs. I also have osteoarthrits in both knees but really didn't start bothering me until last year when I tried Zumba. I tried to keep up with the younger ones at 62 you think I would learn it's not smart to pretend your super in shape when you're not. I did lose 8 pounds super energized but short lived. Anyway now you know I'm here.
