My name is Ramona. I have lived in New Orleans most of my 61 years. I've finally decided it's time to stop making excuses and get started with losing weight and exercising.
But...I want to do it the right way so I'll keep it off this time. I've lost a lot of weight at different times in the past, but put it (plus a lot more) right back on. No more of that for me.
My daughter is the only one I've told about this new road I'm on. I want everyone else to just see the results for themselves. In the past, I would tell everyone that I was going to lose weight, and then be embarrassed when it didn't happen, or I gained it back. I only told my daughter because I was hoping she would also join SparkPeople. Hopefully, she'll see how well I'm doing and want to join later.
I have AFIB and Fibromyalgia. My pain management doctor said the best thing is to exercise and lose weight...then I should be able to get off the medication I'm taking for Fibromyalgia. So, that's just an added bonus.
This looks like a very active group, and I'll try to be active in my posts as well as my exercise and food reduction.
