I am Paula and I live in Milton Keynes England. I am battling with weight and have been since I was 18.
I have reached a point where I have not lost any weight for a while so need to change things in order to get thing moving again.
I have a list of problems that makes it hard but not impossible to get fit and shed the pounds.
Osteo arthritis in all my joints I am borderline Rheumatoid arthritis so my arthritis flairs every so often.
IBS controlled by pills and not eating too much wheat and no caffeine
BPPV (Benine Proximal Positional Vertigo) in other words change position and the room spins. I can sit down, stand up, lay down, turn over in bed, bend down to get something from the oven, pick up something from the floor and a dizzy spell kicks in. I can go for a few days without anything then it hits out of the blue with no warning symptoms at all.
Pure tinnitus this is a high pitched noise in both ears 24/7 365 days of the year. Not life threatening just irritating and nothing can be done about it. I have tried white noise and that drove me up the wall. So I do my best to ignore it and meditate to get to sleep.
A problem with my Right arm, I broke the humerus August 16th 2011, had a 6 inch plate with 8 screws to hold the arm together January 2012 as the finally realised there was no bone growth. I still have problems with the arm and now have a trapped nerve in my right hand making my little finger and ring finger numb. My right shoulder is causing problems as the nerve is trapped.
So I do my best to exercise as much as I can and some days that is very little but I make sure I exercise even if all I can do is 10 minutes. Most days I manage 3 sessions of 10 minutes each time.
I will not allow problems to stop me, I may get fed up feel down or depressed but I will not give up. I am doing this for me and I will win.
I am a Slow Loser but I will get there.
