Welcome back to the group and best of luck in your journey. You been given some good advice with the chair exercises...our local vocational school had a senior citizen day and they had a classroom where they had someone from the local YMCA who demonstrated the chair exercises and it was great! I was really impressed and so was my husband (it takes a lot to impress him...just saying!).

Welcome to the team. It sounds like you've been busy with a move to another unit. I'm glad you weren't hurt in the fire. Congratulations in losing the 5 pounds while sitting!!! I'm on a chair exercise team as well and you might enjoy that team to give you ideas of exercises you can do. We do have other people in wheel chairs on this Slowest Loser's team though too.

Hi!
My name is Anita and I joined this team a few years ago using another User name(neatz 1949) .When there was a fire in our building I had to move to a 1st floor apartment and lost Internet connection as a result. I recently purchased a Kindle so I can use the Wi-Fi in the building. I spend a lot of time in the dining room, but I am not eating, I live in an Assisted Living Facility and loosing weight is very difficult, although not impossible. I lost 5 pounds before rejoining Sparkpeople but it is a challenge when you spend most of your time in a wheelchair and the meals are mostly starchy foods. I want to loose 30 pounds. One week at a time, one pound at a time.
