I tottaly get it I am 63 and want to lose 50 #s with 14 grandchildren.

when it comes to losing weight it always takes awhile for me. however, i always want to lose it fast and i forget it did not get there fast. my biggest problem is getting motivated to exercise. i have exercise equipment in my apartment, but they just sit there and collect dust.my diet is not the greatest, however, i have to learn to shop the perimeter of my store, so i can get healthy foods. i am not much for meats, but i am not a vegetarian or vegan either. I enjoy my chicken and fish, but that gets old after awhile to. going shopping is my biggest problem because there are too many decisions to make as far as variety goes. i would like to lose 40 pounds by the end of this year if i can. all i know is it is very important to me because i still want to be healthy and not skinny or obese anymore. i use to belong to TOPS but i felt i was not getting anywhere. i now have a dietician who i see every month. i told her i was sticking with her until i lose the weight. i have a good support team which helps. i have thyroid problems which also effects my weight so i have to watch out for that also. my biggest problem for awhile has been getting to bed early which affects weight loss also. if i try harder, i will learn that watching movies late at night into the wee hours of the morning does not help. it seems as if things have to be balanced in order to lose weight, and balance is one thing i have always had a problem with. i take one day at a time and one step at a time, and in time i learn what i am doing wrong. hopefully soon i will balance everything out and be less stressed over my weight. i have grandkids and i want to watch them grow up and have kids of their own. 40 pounds may not feel like much to many people, but to me, it feels and looks like a lot. health is very important to me.
my goal is to lose 10% of my weight by October 2012.
