Great team...we are all slow....I am 3 yrs your senior and I just have a hard time motivating myself to get to the gym and workout, even tho I love it once I am there and finished. It seems there is always another day....not a good thing...I need to get moving...I did walk on the beach this morning for an hour, but that is not fast enough to lose the lbs., especially since I do not do it everyday. Love this team....you will too and welcome and good luck....

As someone else mentioned, there's a chair exercise team. I joined it for tips on exercises for people I work with who are in wheelchairs. Very friendly bunch of people - just like this forum!

andto the team. Have you tried chair exercises. I have a spine problem, and I do them on my bad days. I sit in a chair and do toe touches, leg lifts, arm rotations, side bends, etc. whatever I can do while sitting. Some days I even do them sitting on the edge of the bed. There is a chair exercise team here on Spark, if you're interested in joining. Good luck on reaching all of your goals.

Greetings to all of you! I recently discovered Spark People and am totally enthralled with the great resources and interactions. I am a retired woman 67 years of age. I spent the last six months being mostly inactive because of a serious knee problem. I finally was able to get treatment and can do certain types of exercise (non-weight bearing). It was hard to get my body/mind to start moving but this website has provided the motivation I needed. I have 60 pounds to lose, which seemed impossibly hard before becoming a member. Now I am on the road, but I am definitely in the turtle category. This sounds like the team for me!!
