Welcome! It took me about 5 days of daily use to get the basic gist of using SP. It gets more & more fun every day imho. I'm not a blogger but I love to read other people's blogs. Oftentimes I feel like a team member blogged exactly what I felt at one time or another. I find the exercise videos fantastic for short (15 minutes or less) work outs. I've never done a longer one but it they're anything like the short ones they're fantastic too. I have my own meal plan but the plan they suggested for me would have worked just fine if I was choosing to eat a lot of dairy. I signed up for the emails and you also get a Spark Point for reading them. You do have to click on the 'get Spark Points' icon in order to get them. That took me a few days to figure out. Anyway, welcome again, and good luck!

Yes, threads and blogs are online but only under your SparkName... THINTOFATTOFIT. Do not ever give out private information such as your real name, your address, your telephone number, etc. That way no one will know who you really are. For instance, if I type in Carolyn0107 and do a google search, some of my SP stuff shows up but that does not mean that you know who I am.

Hi, welcome to the team! There are teams for emotional eaters and binge eaters. You should be given suggestions for teams by SP when you put in your information. If not, you can search for them by subject. Your blog will be private if that is what you choose. You can even set your sparkpage to be available only to your sparkfriends. As for finding a buddy, you can check a box when editing your page and it will say that you are looking for a buddy.

I think you are right to start with very small goals. I would suggest increasing how much water you drink as a place to start. There is a lot of information here, but it isn't going anywhere. Take your time and work through it little by little. That way it will be fun and not like a chore.

You are on a great team to start out, and there are so many great people to help if you need it.

hi. im new and im ready to make changes. i just dont know where to start. im so overwhelmed by this site. so much info and tools. i bought the book too. i want to start with one ridiculously small goal at a time and continue with that until i master it and then move on. im not yet ready to exercise but i know i will be eventually. im also a binge eater and wondering if there were other binge eaters. i would love support. i also wanted to ask people about privacy. i want to do a blog but i was wonderuing if people not on spark people ever have access to it if i dont put it on facebook etc. can they locate me by my email address or any other way? i want to be as honest and open but yet have privacy. you know what i mean? good luck to all on this journey. we are in it together. oh-1 more thing-how can i get a buddy?
