"A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government."
"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them. " Thomas Jefferson

Hi Valerie, I am truly sorry about the loss of your daughter and can only imagine how daily life must be. You have entered into a great supportive community and we believe in the slow & steady approach to healing ourselves physically, mentally, and emotionally. Focus on one small step forward each day and see how consistent you can be. Gradually add in another step and be sure to read up on articles. Should you feel yourself stumbling just give us a holler someone will be there to catch you.
hey there Valerie, soo sorry for your loss. I am sure you will find a buddy, maybe multiple buddies, teheheh, since this is the best team in all of Sparks. I have been active in 6 or 7 other groups and nothing compares to The Slowest Loser. You will find in very short order that this group is very friendly and supportive. All you will need to do is report in any of the conversation threads and ask and you shall receive. I look forward to hearing more from you and becoming great friends. You are a very smart woman to realize that you need to shift your attention now to yourself. I know you will have success in this group. hugs, cheryl
Hi Valerie...not sure the role of a buddy but I can sure be one! Tried to go to your page but it was set to private. I too am so sorry for your loss. When my daughter was little she was in and out of hospitals with surgerys and that in itself is exhausting. I cannot imagine the pain you must be experiencing in losing her. My heart goes out to you. I have three kids and if I had of had a fourth (girl) I was going to name her Tiffany. I didn't...but my son married a Tiffany! : )

Depression is the impression left by fear. Be willing to fight the fear. Conquer it with love.
I'm Valerie and I am new to this forum. My youngest daughter died 5 months ago and I thought I would feel better if I worked on me. It has been 6 yrs since Tiff started getting sick. I was doing good and lost ten pounds. I have since put it all back on which is adding to the depression. Everyone one says take it "SLOW" but I don't think they mean reverse. I could use a buddy.
