Slowly as the body changes to smaller, maybe you gals will start to wear smaller clothes also. But I know what you are talking about. I like the body covered unless I'm heading to the pool and then I just want my t-shirt over the suite and away I go!
I do so love the water. It really maked the fitness work easier due to the water!

Thanks for all the comments everyone. I think this is going to be another great team that I can be a part of. Although I dread the summer I still look forward to losing this weight and hopefully by next summer being much thinner than I am right now!

Everyone who is bigger than they want to be and self conscious hates the summer! I'm dreading getting in my pool when other ppl are around, but I love swimming so I guess I'll have to suck it up. Welcome to the team!

I too, dread the summer season, where everyone wears tank tops and shorts. I have serious issues with my legs and arms. I mean, who wants to look at white, cottage cheese thighs.

Anyways, it feels good knowing that there are other people who believe in a slow and steady way to lose weight. I'm tired of yo-yo dieting. And I'm definately ready for a change!

Here we are together again ! I love this site for the wonderful advice people have to keep me focused on the fact I didn't put the weight on over night and I will not lose this weight over night either!
Slow and steady wins the race, or the weight will come off slowly so that it will stay off and not come back like so many other times that I have dropped a 100 pounds in 4-6 months and then it would stay off for about a year and slow ans steady it work it's way back on. NOT THIS TIME ! ! !

I remember how much I used to hate that saying because I like to get things done quickly and move on to the next. My weight however has been a huge challenge, I have tried and failed for a few years now to lose weight because I put unrealistic expectations on myself and set myself up for failure. Since about the 3rd week in January, I started this journey again and have lost 15 lbs. Some days it freaks me out that it took so long to lose 15 lbs and other days I am like, well I have kept it off and here I am months later still plugging along. I am so grateful for this team, as I am a slow loser who needs to be more accepting of the time frame I need to commit to weight loss, I can use all the help I can get. I get panicky about summer being here and I can't wear shorts or tank tops and I am SOOOOOOO self-conscious about how I look I won't wear any summer clothes at all, so I suffer terrible with the heat, I hate it and then I think I need to starve myself quick so I won't have to suffer through another summer. It depresses me terribly and usually derails me and I give up. BUT this time is different, when I start to get panicky I force myself to take a few deep breaths and tell myself, by this time next summer I may not be perfectly thin, but I WILL be smaller than I am this year,and maybe just maybe it will be the year when I can start wearing shorts again, because slow and steady does win the race!!
