I have had similar problems. Lost 30 lbs last year only to gain it all back within 6 months. I realize my problem is I overeat and eat too large portions. I am really going to focus on cutting down my discretionary (treat) calories each day and eating smaller portions. AND not eating things I don't like, just because they are low cal :)

Nora,I've had much the same situation until I got a small hand book called THE CALORIE KING, calorie, fat and carbohydrate counter. My problem was that I miscalculated my calorie, fat and carb intake until I got this book. I take it with me when I eat out as well as use it at home. It shows every type of food packaged, frozen, fresh, liquid, canned etc. It's has fair and carnival foods as well as restaurant, international, fast food chains etc. It has helped me, maybe it would help you. You can find it at www.calorieking.com. Good luck!
If you look at my weight chart it looks like a slowing down yo-yo - down to 295, up to 301, down to 293, up to 300, down to 291, up to 299....I'm just focused on the fact the even my current ups are below where I started. I keep reminding myself that it took nearly 30 years to get this size I should expect it to take more than a year to go away!! Slow and steady is the best medicine.
It's like that for me to. I'll lose 1lb and gain it back. Up and down I go and never lose steady. I took my measurements and found I lost 3.5 inches off of my hips! So after seeing that I was hopeful again! I'm also working on my cal. intake and that is getting better. I do eat smaller portions now to so hopefully I will start losing again. Your not alone Nora, I think there are more people out there like us then the people who lose a lot of wt. all of a sudden. Hang in there, we can do it!

I know how you feel Nora. I haven't lost since March, but I'm glad that I've only gained a pound. I want to lose slowly so that I don't gain it back. I think I've learned some really great things on SP. I know that's the reason I haven't gained it all back.
It seems my weight loss journey is stretching on and on. All of the Goal Weight deadlines I have set for myself have come and gone in a rush with me no where near my goal weight. Instead of getting discouraged (which I am), I would like to embrace slow but steady progress. My weight loss is completely stalled at the moment (no weight loss since Jan, actually some weight gain over the last 2 months) and I want to change that. I don't care how slow I lose as long as I starting losing again!
