I have found quite a few recipes here, great selection for every persons tastes, and learned new ways to only used enough for one person. Also I have learned new ways to cut back the calories on foods I usually make, I think that is a big thing because they are the foods you always revert back to, easy and comfortable to make with all the recipes in your head.

Just starting the challenge hoping to pick up some new tips, I cook all my meals at home and take meals to work with me each night I work. Lately I have been remaking some of my recipes to make lower calorie and more nutritious meals, the biggest problem I have is recipes all make way more then I want to eat, leftovers are fine once or maybe twice but no more then that unless it is a soup. So many recipes are for 4-6 or more people, I have been cutting recipes back, and there are some that freeze well to have later but some recipes don't cut back well like baked goods. I have acquired a collection of pans that are smaller then usual, like a 7" angel food pan, 7" bunt cake pan, and 7" pie pans, these all take exactly half of the usual recipe and the pie pan is half of a 9" pie, which is sometimes even too much although I haven't made a pie for months. Now that it is summer I grill a lot of my meals, including the veggies, my new favorite desert is to core a granny smith small apple and throw it on the grill with supper, usually 4 turns one one each end then on each side bakes a perfect apple with no added calories and it is very tasty. Looking forward to learning new things in this group!
