Thanks for the book tips BABSMOORE10300! Will have to check them out. I have printed a couple of spark people recipes to try. Portion control is tough I def agree. Just one day at a time. I didn't do that well today but I don't look at it as defeat, just that tomorrow gives me a chance to try again.
I started reading the Joy LIFE Diets and The Joy Fit Club books and they have really helped me and given me a lot of the healthy recipes. I've also checked out the Sparks Recipes and who would have thought that healthy food could taste great and actually fill you up. I made orange rough yesterday and chicken florentine today. It's hard to stick to the portion sizes but it's starting to get a little easier.

Hi everyone! My name is Monica from Philadelphia, PA. I am a wife of a PPO and a mom of three; twin girls who are 9 and a son who is 8. I have been on sparkpeople off and on now since 2008 and have seen highs and lows. For the past two years I have been working in payroll and sit in front of a computer 8 hours a day five days a week and have seen my weight balloon.
