I just ate a package of brussels sprouts, roasted with olive oil and little sea salt. I'm sorta sorry not everyone enjoys them as much as I do, but on the other hand... more for me!

I think I'll stick with your original opinion Nahzeejune - the most awful tase in the world. Was force-fed them as a kid to gagging point - have tried them as an adult, and they're no better. I'm not game to do the roasting thing...for me, they are like torture!

In my 20's I thought that I would try a new vegetable that I had never eaten before so I bought several 10 oz. frozen packages of brussel spouts. i liked cabbage and was told that the taste was similar to cabbage. Unless I got some bad brussel sprouts or they have a bad taste when frozen I don't know. All I know, the taste was the worst taste that I have ever experienced. I have never met a food that I could not eat or did not like until brussel sprouts. For 36 years I would refuse to eat or let brussel spouts enter my house.

My youngest daughter plays soccer for the University that she attends. Sometimes some of the girls will get together and prepare dinner. A lot of the girls can prepare simple things but each girl has learned to prepare either a dish that their dad or mother is "known" for. So when they get together each girl will bring that dish. On one of these particular dinners one of the girls brought her dad's "famous roasted brussel sprouts". My daughter was so amazed at how delicious they were since I would always say how horrible they were. My daughter started telling me,"Mother you have to try them, they are so delicious! If you buy some I will make them for you but they have to be fresh and not frozen. My friend taught me how her dad makes them" To my surprize when I tasted them they were OH so DELICIOUS. My mouth could not believe its' tastebuds. "WOW" The ones that I had made years ago were boiled according to directions on the box. The ones that my daughter made were roasted in the oven but I don't remember the spices that she used. Roasted , YES---Boiled--NOOOOOO!!!!!

With a little bit of fairy dust, perseverance, and hard work I will keep my eyes on the GOAL to reach the prize-a NEW AND IMPROVED ME!

My guy and I LOVE brussel sprouts, it is one of the few veggies I can make without having to add a ton of seasoning to it for him to eat. The smell isn't the best I agree but I will have to try fresh ones sometime. I normally stick to all frozen or canned veggies since we (my guy and me) are both college students and always tight on money.

Only when someone else makes them. Same with asparagus. I think it is because I can't find good, fresh product in the grocery stores. Maybe when the farm markets open....?

I hated Brussels sprouts growing up, but somehow as I get older I find myself enjoying it very much, I buy the frozen sprouts because they are never bitter, and it's the only veggie I like to eat witho out butter? So there are at least two of us who like these tasty sprouts.

I like almost every vegetable roasted or raw, but the only thing I can stand steamed is broccoli. Canning is a great way to preserve food, but in general I'd rather go hungry (said from the point of view of someone who has very RARELY gone hungry, obviously!)

if they are roasted with olive oil and salt, they are my most favorite veggie of all!

Steamed brussels are meh.

Canned brussels? Didn't know they existed, but then I don't eat any veggies out of a can ever with the exception of tomato paste.

Never met a veggie I did not love including brussel sprouts. I cook them in water for 10 min. and then drain them add orange jc. and cook for 5 more min. All the bitterness is gone and they are delicious.
