I plan on being a forever member. I yoyoed for years. OK, I'd like to get to 120 but at 59 140 is rational if I keep it off. Staying here I keep it off. I might make 120 if I find a different mind set and sneak up on it, but you are young and can hit your goal and KEEP IT now. I wish I had learned earlier.

Hi and congratulations on making up your mind to get serious. It sounds like you are doing well with exercise and the food. You already know consistency is key and that's what trips up a lot of people. Make a plan for those times you might get discouraged. Come and post here, call a friend, read a motivating article, respond to blogs or blog your own feelings. Try different things and see what helps.

It's not always easy but it can be done. Just keep moving through the tough times because it always gets better if you can wait it out :)

Hi SparkPeople,
I am finally introducing myself. I joined SparkPeople back in Aug. 2011. Well, I should say I signed up because other than joining some groups I really didnít do anything after that. However I have made up my mind to get serious about getting rid of some weight. I say "getting rid of" because I don't want to lose it and then find it again. I'm learning how to count calories which is working out ok so far. I have committed myself to working out at least three times a week. So far so good with that. The problem is I start something very excited than after a while if it gets too hard or if I get bored with it I quit. I'm determined not to let that happen this time. Getting rid of the weight is only a part of what I want to do. I want to live a healthier life style. I want to make better choices of the things I eat as well as what I feed my family. I want to live to be 90+ and be very healthy at the same time. I know that might sound crazy to some people but I know that is possible. Currently I don't have any health problems and I plan to keep it that way. But I know that's not going to happen if I donít take better care of myself. Anywho, I'm rambling. I just want to say hi and I am looking forward to meeting and talking to you all soon. Hopefully you can help keep me motivated and I can do the same for someone. If you haven't stopped reading by now thanks for your time and talk to you soon.
