I am exactly like you...this is my second day on Spark so I am new too. These group weight loss sites I don't usually care for. But whatever I have been doing in the past has not been working for me either. The people have been so wonderful here. So I have a good feeling this might just be the thing that helps me get through this on going struggle with my health and weight.
I am trying not to go all crazy and try to do so much at first like I usually do, because that obviously has not been working for me.
I am trying to do little things - like joining in on discussions on Spark, entering my food into my tracker and committing a couple of things as goals for a week at a time. This way I am not so overwhelmed. For instance I have committed to cooking and eating my breakfast at home for this week. Oatmeal (Steel Cut) with berries and egg whites. And 8 cups of water a day. I usually eat out every meal (and not healthy at all) so I need to learn to plan ahead and cook healthy meals at home.
really really really trying to think of this as a new healthy way of life and not a diet! it is so hard! all I can think about is i need to lose x amount by x date. But this has gotten me no where in the past. lets see how it goes
It is day two and I feel good about it.
