Please forgive me for the delay, I’m here every day tracking what I need to and checking in – but I don’t always have time for replies.

ALBEAUMONT1 – Yes, I live in Ontario, Canada...Central Ontario actually, in cottage country. The weather today was a very brittle -30 C with the wind chill. Though we’re expecting milder temps by the end of this week. (*fingers crossed*)

I have yet to visit your “neck of the woods” out west – but I hope to make the trek cross country by car with my husband someday soon. Has winter been gentle on you?

And it’s nice to meet you too, CONNIEANGEL23. My baby girl (puppy) is Lexi, and her older feline “sisters” are Gary and Mac... yes, they are female, just very unfortunately named LOL.

I know what you are talking about with the Julia Child quote. My husband and I were just chatting about this Healthy Cooking Challenge, and we too already do as many of the suggestions that suite us already. However, we both agree that a low fat Coquilles Saint-Jacques just wouldn't be worth eating. Our problem is that we have too many of these "It's just once a year!" type of recipes. By the way, if you mean Ontario, Canada, we were both born there and lived many years there and have family there. How's the weather?

Hi Folks! I’m brand spankin’ new to this challenge and just reviewed the tasks for week one.

I couldn’t help but giggle as I read it because I, without knowing about this challenge, completely reorganized my kitchen yesterday! It was a full day project and as I sorted my cupboards and cleaned out my fridge, I put together my grocery list for the week too.

I have also, for many years, made a consistent effort to plan my weekly meals and made conscious efforts to keep them healthy... but I still tend to find my old-school gourmet/comfort cooking habits slipping through. (Think Julia Child – “You can never have too much butter!”)

I’m here to break those habits for good.
