Although I joined Sparkpeople in 2008, I have not fully utilized the resources provided to reach my goal weight. On my own, the most weight I lost has been about 10 lbs. Like most people, I maintain a busy schedule; I work full-time, attend college full-time, and maintain my home as well. I do not want to make excuses anymore for not taking the time to exercise and learn healthy eating habits. I am self-sufficient and self-motivated in other aspects of my life, but when it comes to diet and exercise, not so much. I joined the 28 Day Bootcamp Workout Challenge because I am tired of losing to the "Battle of the Bulge".

Greetings to all!!!! I'm here because I know what's missing from my life - exercise :( With my 3rd pregnancy a few years ago, I was very dismayed to go over 200lbs and have told myself ever since that I need to get down to a healthy weight. So that's my goal - get it going now so by the time I turn 40 next April, I'll be back in shape.... :)

Hi! I am Corinne and I am going to start a class this fall. So before I do, I am going to do this bootcamp so I can start off on the right foot. I have done Spark People 28 Day Boot Camp By Nichols Nicole Dvd and I loved it. I really like Coach Nicole's workouts. I actually followed the boot camp plan and that is saying a LOT for me. I will do it again;-)

I am going to do this bootcamp. I keep trying to will myself to do it and I need to kick my butt into gear so here I go!

Hi, I'm Becky and Im 22. I'll be starting this challenge on Sunday and go all through July. Maybe even through August too if its working well. I have a short term goal of losing 10 Ibs for a family wedding at the end of August. But I also have a long term goal to lose 50 Ibs by next August. my biggest hurdle is staying on track. I will do really well for about a week and make progress, but then I fall of the wagon and don't hop back on. I'm hoping this planned workout will keep me on track since I know what I will be doing every day.

I'm Rhonda, 48 married with 3 teens. Longtime sparker but have gained constantly since quitting smoking 7 years ago. I am ready to be really healthy (not just an ex smoker). I have a fitbit and am logging 10,000 goal 6 days a week cardio and logging food. Decided 28 day boot camp would be great way to add additional exercise to plan. I have short term and long term goals, bday 9/20 and Christmas. I need to lose 35-40 lbs to reach weight goal. Hurdles so far, portion sizes (mine are double what they say they should be). But before I was paying attention they were triple size, progress.

Hi ya Im Shaz, Im 41 years old and mum to 4 very hyper kids that I'm constantly running around after so I should resemble a very short supermodel by now...but I don't emoticon I managed to get down to 2lbs away from my first goal weight a few years but over the past few years it's crept back on again. I signed up to the team to get back into doing regular exercise - I missed 2 days of the 1st week due to having a houseful of kids over the weekend and I really noticed it today so I need to be doing something - even short bursts - every day. This seemed like a good place to start emoticon

I began the 28-day bootcamp challenge today. I live in Texas and am married to a wonderful man who teaches math and coaches football and track. I have become too sedentary and ballooned up and realized I wouldn't live to see my future grandchildren if I didn't get control.

Hi Just joined the challenge today :)) I'm Juli. I live in NC with my son and husband, plus several assorted pets. :) I've lost a lot of weight over the past 4 years, but after back/hip injury have been sidelined for several months. I was VERY upset/depressed/frustrated when I found out I was going to have to sit out for so long and I got into baddd habits. Gained weight.

Now, I have realized that was the totally wrong reaction. Live and learn, eh? :) So I'm here to get back on track and work towards my goal weight! :)

Hi, I'm Bronwen. I got the Spark Activity Tracker a little over a week ago and I'm using it to jump-start my program. So far, so good. I'm also going to turn 50 in a little over a month and I would really, really like to give myself the present of a better life for the next 50 years.

Other than that, I'm a geek, I live in a cabin in a forest and I have two adorable dogs for roommates. Not much else is fit to print. ;-)

Getting a game plan. Feels very empowering to be back with the spark family. I joined today and trying to get all the details to the challenge. Need some direction, I am probably staring right at it. Is there a reminder on the app for what I need to do to complete my workout plan? Just wondering. emoticon

38 year old who gained so much weight over the last 10 months. I am almost as big as I was when I was pregnant (a whopping 210 lbs). I hope to get more energy, change my eating habits and get healthy (and of course loose this weight). Not sure how much I weigh now, scared to buy, much less get on, a scale.

Hi! I joined to get back into working out regularly again. I am hoping that being in this group will give me the motivation I need to be active every day

Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?

Hi, new today, excited to start a new challenge. I like to the challenges, because they motivate me to keep on each day. I returned to Spark People just a month ago. I am just 1 pound short of losing 10 pounds. I want to keep the scale moving--in the right direction. emoticon

Hello my name is Cheryl, I am 31 years old. Ever since having my son a year an a half ago I cannot seem to lose the weight. I am stuck in rut and will be good for few days and then binge for a few days. Constantly going back and forth. Hoping to put a stop to that now! I am really excited to start this challenge today. I am hoping that I can stick with and be successful. Summer is almost here and I need to get moving. Looking forward to giving and receiving support from you guys.
Take Care!

This will be my second time through this challenge and now I know how it works so should be more successful. I am a retired teacher and have put on about 15 pounds since I retired so now the clothes are tight and I do not want to have to buy all new clothes. So here's to the second time around. I love to exercise, garden, and walk my puppy. I love to go to the beach and lie in the sun and the waves. I wish everyone a great weekend and hope you have lots of success.

I'm adding this to the 5k in 5wks Sparkppl training program...get a little toning with the fat loss.

I like that these are short videos; I can add them to whatever I'm doing on the days I'm not walking, and I can do one after each walk.

Hi everyone. I'm hoping to back into shape. Up until a few months ago I was unable to work out because of an injury. Now that I'm working out again I need to drop the pounds I put on. I've been going to the gym faithfully for the last month or so but the scale will not budge. I need motivation to push myself.

Hi. I'm Ady. Started this boot camp challenge again. Hitting reset it feels like for the 100th time, but I'd rather reset 100 times than give up completely. Here weo go getting more active.

The time for action is now. It's never too late to do something.

A few years back I got pretty dang fit after losing a bunch of weight. Full time work with extra long days and a few injuries mean I've gained some of the weight back, but the bigger issue is that I lost my fitness. Right now I'm not worried about the weight, I'm trying to get back in shape. So I'm using this challenge as a way to build daily fitness back into my schedule.

Hello. I just finished video 1 for today. I thought I introduced myself before but I guess I didn't. But I'm 60 yrs old and I need to get fit. I use to exercise daily and weight lift but got away from it some years ago. Now I'm trying to rekindle the love I had for fitness. I hope this 28 day challenge is the start. I want to loose at least 25 lbs. I already lost 10 lbs. since I joined in February. I should have lost more by now but I wasn't really serious but now I am. I hope we all will reach our goal.

Keep on pushin. Can't stop now.

Hello! I needed something to push me to workout daily so I thought this would be a great challenge! I hope I'll be able to succeed! 28 days doesn't sound very long but 4 weeks sure does sound like a long time! I haven't been able to workout for more than 2-3 days in a row so this will definitely be a consistency challenge for me!

I originally signed up for this challenge in March - However, I did not come home from our winter vacation unil this past week-end - Sooooo I am starting my Bootcamp workout this week. I'm not sure exactly how this works, or how the tracker works, so I guess I will just tell you what I did.
Monday - 30 minutes on the treadmill and 10 min strength training video
Tuesday (today) 30 minutes Strengh Training/Cardio video combo and 30 min. on the treadmill
I did not record any of these on my "activity" page because I thought the Tracker did that. However, should I at least be recording the Strengh Training sessions??????
Since I have been out of sync with exercising for the 6 mos. I was in Florida, I'm starting my steps out slowly - 6,000 per day. Yesterday I only did a little over 4,100 but today I did just over 7,000. Yea.
Please advise if I am not doing and/or recording this correctly. Thank you.

I have 38 days until my first trip to Vegas which gives me a 10 day cushion. There are 238 days until I hit my goal weight. (Well, that's the plan)

I've been consistent in my daily fitness in a very treadmill kind of way. Now that I've shown myself consistency it's time to bump up intensity.

Bootcamp here I come.

Hi, I am Sharon and been a member of spark people for about six weeks. I have been tracking my food and trying to exercise daily, but don't always have the motivation to do the exercise, thus I am joining this challenge to be accountable to all of you here. I am starting this in the morning. Hopefully I can keep up with everyone and motivate all of you, too!!! Spark on!!

Hi Everyone! I'm Miranda. I will be 41 on Monday. I first joined this challenge in Oct 2012 but I hurt my back and had to stop. I've noticed that I don't feel good about myself and that is because I am not strong or agile. The last time I felt good was when I was doing SP so I'm back and committed to taking care of myself by daily intentional movement, motivation, and healthy eating choices.

I'm on W1:D2 of the challenge. I'm off to walk outside in the beautiful sunshine. Happy Saturday!!!

Hi! I'm Barbie and I just joined this team today. I added one challenge, but can't seem to find the page to enter more challenges. If anyone can tell me, please do. I viewed part of the first bootcamp workout and it looks like even I can do it, so...looking forward to getting to it!

Hey Everyone, I'm Kristen. I have committed to living a healthy lifestyle and need this challenge to kickstart my fitness routine. In the last 3 weeks, I've lost about 6lbs (just by changing my eating habits and drinking more water). I'm ready to get my body toned for the summer and what better way than a 4-week challenge!!!

Hi, I'm Pam. I have lost 52.6 lbs thus far and I have been able to keep those pounds off for over a year but I am not "done yet". I have 114.6 lbs. left to go. My reason for losing weight is "it's personal" (meaning I just hate doing anything half-way), I too need to lose the remainder of the weight to realize some important health benefits and my best support is my hubby, Paul.

Good luck everyone! We can do this. emoticon

Hello my name is Sheila, I joined SparkPeople years ago and had great success however over the years I let myself go and not only have I gained all my weight back I also added an additional 30 pounds. I've never really participated in a team so I am hoping this gives me the motivation that I need. I always use the excuse that I don't have time to exercise because for the last 8 years I have worked 7 days a week with hardly no days off. Working 65 - 70 hours a week takes a lot out of you and it is exhausting. But I am tired of using that as an excuse and I am tired of feeling bad all of the time. I am tired of feeling bad about myself It's time to take charge and do something to make me feel better!!

Hello! I have decided to really step up my weight loss. To do that, well I need more inspiration that some. So Challenges work well for me. I'm going to do this! I pledge to do 10 minutes of cardio outside of my work (I lead a seated, low impact 30 minute exercise program as part of my job), and I'm going to try to get 12,000 steps a day instead of just 10,000. Here's to success!
