Today was my official day for ME.
I have so let myself go. Started back when I hurt my feet, hiking down a trail. I actually hurt so bad that I asked a MD to amputate my toes. Then a few years later, I hurt my back lifting an overweight pt. from off the floor (yes, I had an assistant but she was no help-and no, at the time, our facility didn't have a hoyer). So, as life goes, I stopped biking, hiking, and running and the pounds have crept up and up. I am now at my highest wt. of 212 and am only 5'3" so I feel it everywhere. I miss running. I miss being able to move like I use to, but I also know that I probably will never with the issues I have BUT, that doesn't mean I can't be physically toned and fit. So, I am back! Sorry to say, I was only able to spend 15 min. on my stationary bike, but it's a start (long way from my 20 mile rides but hey).
I can't wait to feel better, look better, and live longer. . .healthier.
