I apologize if my message came across wrong. I love my boyfriend to death, but before I could love him, I had to learn how to love myself, and I am my own best friend. Culinary school is taking it's biggest toll on my weight, but me beign as comfortable as I am with my guy doesn't help lol.

i feel your pain - did a masters in gastronomy and took courses in wine, cheese, baking, cooking...it all adds up, since you really do have to taste everything you make! try making compromises with him - if he cares about you he'll help support your goals, rather than working against them. butter is better, but not better for you...

I'm not trying to sound preachy but the love of your life should be you. I don't mean that in a selfish way but by taking care of yourself and making yourself the best YOU you can be is the best gift you can give. Good health and self esteem is a gift that keeps giving. Good luck on you weight loss.

Hi all!
I have put on about 30 pounds in the last year during culinary school. coincidentally I met the love of my life around the same time (he doesn't believe in diets) Breakfast and lunch aren't an issue....I can control those, but dinner either doesn't happen, or is full of butter....YUCK! The weekends usually consist of eating out, or cooking for my love who (if he catches me) WILL NOT let me use healthy ingredients! I need to get back into my skinny pants! :(
