Hi - I'm Sue. I joined Spark People on Sept 30 of this year and have enjoyed my experience. My big downfall however is exercise or the lack of it. I'm hoping you wonderful people can help me 10 minutes at a time!!!

Welcome to the team! You can do this. I am a yoyo dieter. I found most were okay for taking weight off, but had nothing for longevity. This is a lifestyle change. Sparks makes you think about things. I resisted that for a looong time, it's not an easy thing to do. But, the streaks are coming easier, and the more I open up about it, the better things get.

58 is not too old to be starting. I'm 54 and I'm losing. I agree with everyone else, you'll love the support you get for healthier living here. No more dieting. You'll learn how to make healthy choices here.

I started SP at 138 lbs in October 2010. My goal weight was supposed to be 125, which I reached in January 2011. I have stayed at 125 (give or take a few pounds) ever since.

Hi and welcome to the team emoticon

Smile .... it makes people wonder what you're up to ;-)

The fourth glass of wine is always a good idea before you do it and a really bad idea afterward! ;-)

It is far easier to MAKE time to exercise than it is to FIND time to exercise. You want results???? MAKE it happen.

emoticon I have only been on sparks a little over a month and emoticon I have already lost 10 lbs. I don't think of it as a diet because I eat whatever I want. I just make better choices. OK I did give up soda pop but now when I try it I don't like it at all.

There are many resources on this site and loads of great people here to help you. Good luck on you weight loss journey.emoticon

I'm new and I need all the help I can get. I'm a yo-yo dieter, but nothing has ever worked for very long. Maybe I just don't stick with it long enough, I don't know. I know it's going to be hard because of my age (I'm 58) and other health problems, but I've got to try. Is this a good program? I'm ready to learn and succeed!
