Welcome. You're a success in the making since you already overcame the biggest obstacle : facing the reality and deciding to do something about it.
You're at the right place. Prepare yourself to be patient and read a blog about the Slowest Loser or some name like that. I read it every once in a while and it always helps.

I too have avoid introducing myself because I find it difficult to write. It takes me a long time to figure out what to say. I too have been overweight pretty much my whole life. I was never, ever super skinny. This 10 minute a day thing for some reason prompted me to get on and really buckle down. I have always exercised once I found "Jazzercise". I just have a hard time controlling how much I eat. So I am trying to use the tools. I like you think "maybe I have found the answer!"

Hello,

I have avoided introducing myself on the message board because of feelings of intimidation created all by me. But, finally today i feel it is time! I am a 44 year old female who has been overweight pretty much since childhood. I started off my younger years super duper skinny, then when i was about 9 i f"ound" food and gained weight over a summer. Not to the point of being overweight, but it being noticable enough that people commented on it and i started to believe in my head that i was "FAT". When i look back at my high school pictures I can see now that i was nowhere near fat or even overweight. But, in my twenties i let it all go and just starting eating anything i wanted at any time with no boundaries. A few times in my twenties and again in my thirties i would "diet" and take weight off, but it always came back plus more. A friend introduced me to SP about a year and a half ago, but until these past six weeks i really did not use it much. In the past six weeks or so i have been diligent about using the nutrition tracker and signing on every day and have ven joined Curves. I am seeing results and feeling so much better - in health, mind and spriit. i really believe SP has the answer. I have diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. All the health problems you would expect me to have with 100 pounds overweight. My goal is to lose the weight, get healthy and fit and no longer need the meds i have been on for years.
