Hi, I'm Sherri. I've been going to the gym 3 days a week pretty consistently for about a year. I'd like to add the 10 minutes to the other days.

I've been doing well with my exercise goals but this month could be more challenging since I'll be away for a week's vacation and starting to teach again in mid-August (very hectic time). This challenge should help me stick with my goals!

Hello, I'm Karen. I'm new to this particular challenge have started and stopped a few of them. This time I'm motivated by the fact I've lost about 20 lbs since 2016 and now I'm stuck. I figure if I can get 10 mins. of focused exercise daily that may help me get the next 6 lbs off. Working on a new meal plan as well. Hope this challenge will help me stayed focused and accountable as I encourage others.

Hi, my name is Karla and I joined this challenge to work on my consistency. I do good for a while and then slack off and go right back to where I started from. I'm hoping this challenge will help me change that.

Hi everyone, my name is Deb and I have completed several challenges along my Spark path. I have reached a goal weight with the thought that I not only want to maintain it, but perhaps move toward another 5 lb loss to see how I feel at that weight. I did not sign up for a BLC challenge this time due to the craziness of my work schedule during the summer months. My desk job keeps me anchored more than I like these days. This 10 minute challenge is just what I need to motivate me to move for 'little bits' of time rather than longing for a long bike ride, or walk. I want to see how these in-be-tween 10minute slots will help move me closer toward my goal of maintaining my strength and mobility. Thanks for being here!

Hi my name is Linda I also have been a member of Spark People for several years. Up and down with my weight loss. I am really getting mad at myself. So many spark buddies have come & gone. Some lost the weight others just disappeared. My blood work showed that I'm almost pre diabetic. That scares me. I don't exercise but I have to start somewhere. I figure 10 minutes a day is doable. I have been having a hard time getting back on track but I refuse to give up!

Hello!! My name is Dawn I will be 44 in less than a month and I am completely disgusted with myself and cannot believe I have let myself get into the shape that I am in. I have 2 kids in their 20's with a grandchild on the way and will be getting married in April 2019. I am determined to change my life style, get in better shape and also knock the socks off my fiance when I walk down the aisle lol :) I fully plan on enjoying my family for a very long time and enjoying my life to the fullest!! I realize some changes need to take place in order to achieve that. I hope everyone has an amazing day!!

Hi, my name is Connie and I'm 52 years old. I've been a member of SparkPeople for quite a few years (about 7). When I started I had already met my goal weight and was trying to maintain it. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. I went into a terrible tailspin and could not drag myself out of it for a couple years, it was so depressing. I received an Apple Watch for Christmas and that seemed to be the spark to get me motivated again. I use the Apple Watch with my Fitbit and try to meet all my goals every day. I'm hoping this challenge/team will be another way to keep me on track and motivated.

Hi, my name is Willow. I like everyone else have had weight issues my entire life. I have a wonderful husband and daughter and want to be around for them as long as I can. I don't presently have any health issues, but it is only a matter of time before I do. I have "dieted" my entire life, sometimes successfully, sometimes not. But the bottom line is I never give up on myself. I am hoping that all the years of experience in eating healthier and endless trips to the gym will click in my brain and cause me to have an epiphany and realize that I can change my lifestyle for the better.

Hello , my name is Patti Sue. I am 41 years old. I have struggled with my weight my whole life. Last year I decided to loose weight, I have had my ups and downs but I have lost 60 pounds. I was exercising regularly, but stopped. I really need some inspiration so I decided to join this 60 day challenge. I am hoping to connect with others in my same boat so we can encourage one another.

Hi! My name is Myra. I heard about the 10 minutes of fitness challenge months ago and finally decided it was time to join the team. I live in NY and the weather is finally getting nice - much more conducive to walking, and I hope to include other types of activity in my day. I've been sort of missing in action lately on SparkPeople in general, but I'm looking forward to my participation in this team as a source of motivation to get me back on track.

Be mindful. The joy is in the journey.

Hi, my name is Diane. I am 74 and am not letting that number scare me or discourage me from getting healthy. I came to the conclusion that I can't do the same things I used to do, but I can do a lot more than I am doing. Hi, everyone! My name is Rachel and I recently joined this team in hopes of finding motivation and accountability to exercise in some way on a daily basis.
I started a boot camp class three weeks ago and also started walking three miles on one of the days that I don't have boot camp. I increased my boot camp this week to three times and walked twice. Hoping to make walking a habit again...I really enjoy it!
Good luck to everyone!

Thank you Gal! I have a job that keeps me physically moving all day long, so the last thing I want to do when i get home is move!!! Last week was my first week with Spark coach and I committed to using the stairs instead of the elevator and I have stuck with it . Ten minutes excercise is the next step for me.

I think that's great! I'm having a hard time staying committed to my goals because life with my two girls gets in the way a lot! Just keep trying again and again and never give up. It's worth it to just keep trying; I'm trying to hold my ground at least and then as I keep trying I'm hoping it will just click one of these times. You can do it!!!!

Hi, I'm Joy. I have been so stagnant and off course. I'm working on getting and staying on course so I can actually lose weight. I walk, but that is not enough. I always try to Zumba, but that doesn't always happen. I'm going to try throwing in hula-hoop. It's fun with my daughters and I can pick it up anytime, as often as I want/can and do it while watching TV if I want. I just hope I can get the rhythm of it.

Hello Team!
I'm Ypsarf, I've been here on SP for quite a while and today I joined the group after reading SparkGuy blog about Small Goals Commitment Challenge.

My small goal for this week is adding 10 min exercise to my routine (as a former exercise hater, this is a lot, yet by being only 10 min, it's stil a small and manegeable goal emoticon )

Hi, I joined the team today while reading an article giving ways to meet your goal in 8 weeks. Joining this team was suggested and I want to try things that will help me reach my goal for 2017.

Hello team, my name is Tyra. I live in central Nebraska. Small town country girl, married to a wonderful man (most times, lol). I manage a liquor/tobacco store, but do not drink or smoke. I love to be outdoors, My newest obsession is geocaching. I do not exercise regularly and that is why I am here.

Hi new to this challenge. My name is Nycky and I am the mom of a 28, 24, and 6 year old. I just can't seem to find enough energy daily and I am eating a lchf woe currently. I want this weight off but if I am not getting this exercise done I know it slows my progress also. Any motivation would be great and helpful.
Thanks and good luck to everyone else also.

The only thing i want to see on me for life, is a smaller waistline...lbvs

3 years ago I was walk/running 5K's and going to the gym for 30 minutes after work. Since I retired I have lost my momentum. I haven't done any intentional exercise for months. I am hoping this challenge will get me going.

Walked for 10 minutes today.

Hi my name is Melanie. I'm the mother of a 19 year old daughter and a 30 year old stepson. I work in a high school special education classroom where the children have various disabilities. Spark people has taught me that changing your lifestyle helps keep the weight off instead of just dieting. I've been trying by myself for years with no progress to show for it. Started Sparkpeople in 2011 and left for several years as my life was a mess. Now I'm back and ready to do this.

Hi. I'm Karen. I joined this challenge to be more consistent with exercising. I do good a couple of days a week, but know that I should do more. My daughter is getting married next year, and I want to be healthy enough to be there for her and help her with the planning.

I've been at this for a while now but haven't seen a huge difference. Problem is I lack consistency. But, I've turned over a new leaf and I'm ready to do this thing right.

Can I come back???? Okay - 2016 was a pretty stellar year as far as learning some things about some more aggressive dietary restrictions I needed to make. It was also a year of learning how to really deal with the knee issues I have (new ACL and a myriad of other knee injuries). and then................well, then I let work stress screw everything up (as it is still doing) and I'm off the wagon. In fact, I think I just felt the back wheel run over me. NOT OK. 10 minutes, I'm committing to 10 minutes and going back to being strictly gluten free and reduced dairy.

I am Amanda. 6+ years ago I lost 30 lbs using sparkpeople. Over the past 5 I have gained it back and had another kiddo, but she is 3 now so no excuse there haha. I have tried several times to start something but i never made it far. I am focusing on small goals to start and one is a 15 min yoga routine a day so this seems like a great place to stay on track.

I am joining this challenge to get back on track with good fitness and nutrition habits.
I got off track while our kitchen was being remodeled. It is pretty well done and soon
I will have a new kitchen to cook healthy meals.

Hey I'm Misty, and I'm here to get myself consistent with exercise. No excuses. I was hoping to lose 52 lbs last year and ended up only losing 2.4 lbs. I am also working on eating and drinking better as well.

Hi! Joining this challenge was my SparkCoach assignment for today - I am committing to 10 minutes of exercise per day. I usually do more, but on the days that I "don't feel like it" I tend to fall of the exercise wagon. 10 minutes it is! emoticon

Starting today! Hope everyone is well. I live in Massachusetts and have been struggling with fibromyalgia for the past year. One problem I have is that if I overdo it I can be in pain for days, so figure 10 minutes a day is a good goal. I am married and have 2 children, a son in college and daughter who is 12. Have a great day everyone.

Hi, All emoticon
My name is Kerry, but I am better known as Trouble (long story).

I joined this challenge/team, but I'm not sure it's quite what I was looking for. I already walk at least 60 minutes every day (thank you FitBit) so I was looking for something to help me start and be accountable for doing some strength training. The bat-wings under my arms are not quite enough to fly with, but they will be if I don't start doing something.

I also understand from my reading that I shouldn't be doing strength training every day. Is there a way to set this up to track doing strength training 3 days/week?

Hi Everyone,

I joined the team 8/19/16. And got overwhelmed by to many teams. I have cut myself to just what I want to be in and do. This is my way of making sure I am committing to at least 10 minutes of exercise each day.

emoticon Just joined this team. I've been a member of SP since January 2008. I'm retired. I'm a wife, mother & grandmother. I've been attending a nearby fitness center for over years now and have been able to develop an exercise routine that I can really stick to. It's become 2nd nature for me to go there regularly.

Hi, My name is Susan. I am a 68 yo retired RN. Since being retired I have walked 3-5 miles several days a week with my DH. He is now unable to walk with me, and I haven't found a replacement for that exercise. I can't walk alone for safety reasons and don't have a car. I previously joined group classes but never liked any exercise except walking. All suggestions are welcome. I have limited flexibility and DJD.Thank you.

I did spark before, and had some success. But then life got really hectic, and I had to focus my attention elsewhere. I joined back because, to make a long story shorter, SP works. This time, I am attacking things with a different mindset. I am a role model, so I am going to be a POSITIVE one!

Hi, team! My name is Mel. I've been on SparkPeople since January this year, but I didn't really get into until the last 4 months. I have several health conditions that make exercising a tough proposition. The worst is chronic pain and fatigue. I'm doing much better recently, but I still have my days. Today is one of them! Lol Other things that keep me from exercising as much as I'd like are that I'm a college student, I'm looking for work, and I'm preparing to start a great volunteering opportunity. I'm looking forward to being part of the team! :)
