My name is Barb - have been a member of SparkPeople for a few years, but have never really taken it serious. Am still at the same weight as when i started - in the 200 neighborhood. Not sure now - my bathroom scales is not working.

My daughter has started losing weight and is looking fantastic !! And she is so much happier. So I am feeling really challenged. I have joined other challenges in the past, but soon drop out - just have not had the motivation to continue. I do not have very much support around me - but know that I can certainly find it here on SparkPeople - if i will just take advantage of all the opportunities here!!

So I am in - decided that keeping a journal may help most. Will see how it goes.

Hi I'm Patty. I'm new to this team and I need support to try and get back the motivation to exercise again. I gained back almost all the weight I lost. In February I started to journal what I ate and eliminated all junk food. I've lost 10 pounds but still haven't started to exercise and keep making excuses not to. I want to stop making excuses and start with 10 minutes of exercise.

Hi...this is the 2nd time I am joining also. I had joined in Oct. 2014 and then went through many med tests....surgery...more surgery this week. I am getting healthy! I am walking and using my fit bit!

Hi all. I'm new here, though I've been using sparkpeople off and on for several years now. My motivation to lose weight is that my health is now compromised by all of the unwise choices I've made over the last 16 years and I am finally scared. I need to start somewhere and I probably need to start small and build momentum from there. Ten mintue daily exercises seem like a great place to start.

Hi I am new to this team been sparking since 2008 but have been up and down. The last year I have maintained the same weight but that is not good enough I still have 70 lbs. to lose. My mindset has been stuck on at least I'm not gaining need to get that thought out of my head and move on to I have to lose at least 1 lb. a week. I would like to lose 25 lbs. by the end of the year. Hopefully this team will help me to get 10 minutes in on the days I don't walk the dogs or get to the pool. Those days are hard for me to do exercise I just don't think about doing anything else. I love a challenge and they keep me motivated so this team will be good for me.

I live in Cambridge Ontario Canada it is about 1 hour from downtown Toronto. Teri

Hey, y'all! I'm Gerrtie.

I joined the team April 5. I reached my goal weight in Dec. 2009. I have managed to keep almost all of it off. But since I went back to work 15 lbs have crept back on, and I have slacked off of my exercise quite a bit. I am hoping to get back on track with both the food and the exercise. No more saying "I don't have time."

Hello everyone. My name is Megan I'm from southwestern Pennsylvania. I have a wonderful husband and 2 beautiful kids that are my world. I am starting my weight loss journey once again. I can't tell you how many times I've started this journey. I keep losing my way and getting farther than when i started. I am currently at the biggest I have ever been, but I'm feeling confident because I've had some medical problems that make this harder that I've been getting situated, such as my thyroid. Hi Everyone,

My name is Karen, I love Spark People, right now I am in between BLC rounds and I thought this would be a nice challenge until next BLC round begins.

May I suggest to anyone who reads this if you are interested in a fun team challenge check out the BLC (Biggest Loser Challenge) It really helps me stay motivated and keeps me focused. It is a 12 week challenge and there is a lot of friendly competition between teams.

Hi everyone - I'm Cheri, i am starting over yet again, im not proud to say I have had to start over many times but this times the last time

I'm focusing on this particular challenge, im not good at social stuff but I know support is crucial so I will give it where I can and I hope I can find it here

I started my day today with 30 minutes of strength training and I will do my level best to consistently come back with at least 10 every day

I have been at my goal weight since 10/31/14. I want to join this challenge to be sure I exercise consistently. Right now I go to the gym 6X per week and try to spend an hour there doing a combination of cardio and strength training. I want to see if I can maintain that habit but when I am short of time, my goal is to get at least 10 minutes/day every day of my life.

I work a 70 hour stretch most weeks and fitting in actual exercise isn't easy. I do get about 10,000 steps on my fitbit most days but that's just in everyday life. Looking forward to the challenge! Hi! My name is Margery and I'm very new to Spark. I have been on Herbalife product for a little over three months now but have not been able to be consistant with my work outs due to being a manager of a 24 hour restaurant. my name is Carrie! I am a soon to be 38 year old wife and mom of four kids and four step kids, I have been on sparkpeople for a long time and haven't been consistent. my health is failing due to my weight and I need to get motivated. I currently weight 294 lbs and that is just way too much. I've been in and out of the hospital a few times this year due to my thyroid, weight, blood pressure and having a lymph node removed, I know all this is due to my poor eating and lack of exercise! Now is the time to get busy and look at living instead of existing. I am joining this challenge to help me to get used to doing daily fitness activities even if its only 10 minutes a day at the very least! Its time to get serious and stay focused.

Hi I'm Liz. I struggle with posting on any kind of social media, but have decided I need a change, so I am going to be interacting on sparkpeople. I have a six year old son. My biggest difficulty with being fit is physical limitations due to a debilitating disease. Movement is difficult and painful for me, but not moving and eating poorly are just making me worse. Now not only do I have the physical limitations, i have formed bad habits. Ultimately I want to find a fitness mentor to help keep me on track.

Hi I'm Rachel and I lean toward the "all or nothing" stream of exercise. A part of me knows that 10 minutes a day is probably better than an hour and a half once a week. Plus it would quell my "I don't have time" refrain.

I used to exercise quite a bit. Husband became ill and I am happy to be his caregiver. Fortunately, he is getting better. I am getting back into exercise. I have a new mindset that 10 minutes at a time will help me get healthy again and lose the weight I gained.

Hi all - I have been involved sporadically with SP for a year and not being faithful as produced a weight gain, not loss!! I am desperate to find new ways to make permanent changes. Hoping this will help

Hi All! My name is Nyssa and I'm new to this team and this challenge. Just joined today but have been part of SP since April 2014. Went for a 20-minute walk with my dogs to get in a little exercise. I'm looking forward to making exercise a part of my daily life and to lose this extra weight for good!

Hi, my name is Grace. I've been with Spare People for little while, I believe since march 2014. I was not able to be very active until a couple of months ago. Since Jan. I have been more consistent and serious about getting healthy, fit and losing weight.

I have multiple heath and medical problems that had prohibited me from exercising and just being mobile. I was immobile for about 6-7 +. But now I am slowly gaining my strength and stamina back to be more mobile and active.

I joined this streak to see how well I'll do and so far it looks good.

I'm trying to get stronger and in shape for the Spring, Summer time so that I can be outside with my grandchildren. But the biggest reason is that I don't want to go without fight.

I plan on taking care of myself now that I'm back in the game of Life again. It was touch and go there for a little while, but I am back and I want to be strong than ever.

Still trying to lose - have about 15 pounds to lose (forever) and would love to lose it before my 75th birthday in August!! Live in the Tri-Cities and since the sun came out 2 days ago have upped my walking. Also do Tai Chi twice a week.Looking forward to consistency.

Hi, my name is Hannah. I'm 41 years young, and live in Portland, Oregon where it rains nearly all winter! emoticon It's usually overcast, that's why a lot of people here have Seasonal Affective Disorder. I haven't been diagnosed with this, but the rain definitely gets in the way of being outdoors sometimes. So I've just been working out inside and that's working for me! I am new to the challenge. i started in sept weighing 310 by jan 2015 i had lost 25 pounds. but had quit working out and working so now i weigh 295. so i am hoping joining this challenge helps keep me motivated. I am Beverly will be 47 in april and for health reasons i need to get motivated again.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
