Hi my name is Diane and I am trying to establish an exercise routine everyday,even if it's just 10 minutes 3-4 times a day! I work a 70 hour stretch most weeks and fitting in actual exercise isn't easy. I do get about 10,000 steps on my fitbit most days but that's just in everyday life. Looking forward to the challenge! Hi! My name is Margery and I'm very new to Spark. I have been on Herbalife product for a little over three months now but have not been able to be consistant with my work outs due to being a manager of a 24 hour restaurant. Ive lost 15lbs and 15.5 inches but Im just not happy with how I'm living my life and how easy it is to slip back into old habits. I joined this team to try and hold myself more accountable. Any help is appreciated!!!

Hi All,
I am a long-time sparkler, but am refocusing my efforts to lose weight. Hi, I'm Lecia, I started SparkPeople at the beginning of this last week and I am really liking it so far. I have been meeting my goals and exercising more than usual. my name is Carrie! I am a soon to be 38 year old wife and mom of four kids and four step kids, I have been on sparkpeople for a long time and haven't been consistent. my health is failing due to my weight and I need to get motivated. I currently weight 294 lbs and that is just way too much. I've been in and out of the hospital a few times this year due to my thyroid, weight, blood pressure and having a lymph node removed, I know all this is due to my poor eating and lack of exercise! Now is the time to get busy and look at living instead of existing. I am joining this challenge to help me to get used to doing daily fitness activities even if its only 10 minutes a day at the very least! Its time to get serious and stay focused.

If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. i'll always be with you "Winnie Th Pooh"

Hi I'm Liz. I struggle with posting on any kind of social media, but have decided I need a change, so I am going to be interacting on sparkpeople. I have a six year old son. My biggest difficulty with being fit is physical limitations due to a debilitating disease. Movement is difficult and painful for me, but not moving and eating poorly are just making me worse. Now not only do I have the physical limitations, i have formed bad habits. Ultimately I want to find a fitness mentor to help keep me on track.

Hi I'm Rachel and I lean toward the "all or nothing" stream of exercise. A part of me knows that 10 minutes a day is probably better than an hour and a half once a week. Plus it would quell my "I don't have time" refrain.

I used to exercise quite a bit. Husband became ill and I am happy to be his caregiver. Fortunately, he is getting better. I am getting back into exercise. I have a new mindset that 10 minutes at a time will help me get healthy again and lose the weight I gained.

Hi, my name is Grace. I've been with Spare People for little while, I believe since march 2014. I was not able to be very active until a couple of months ago. Since Jan. I have been more consistent and serious about getting healthy, fit and losing weight.

I have multiple heath and medical problems that had prohibited me from exercising and just being mobile. I was immobile for about 6-7 +. But now I am slowly gaining my strength and stamina back to be more mobile and active.

I joined this streak to see how well I'll do and so far it looks good.

I'm trying to get stronger and in shape for the Spring, Summer time so that I can be outside with my grandchildren. But the biggest reason is that I don't want to go without fight.

I plan on taking care of myself now that I'm back in the game of Life again. It was touch and go there for a little while, but I am back and I want to be strong than ever.

Still trying to lose - have about 15 pounds to lose (forever) and would love to lose it before my 75th birthday in August!! Live in the Tri-Cities and since the sun came out 2 days ago have upped my walking. Also do Tai Chi twice a week.Looking forward to consistency.

I'm 41 years young, and live in Portland, Oregon where it rains nearly all winter! emoticon It's usually overcast, that's why a lot of people here have Seasonal Affective Disorder. Just joined today. Not big AT ALL on joining teams and checking my computer daily. I find it annoying...but sometimes I find it inspiring! I guess I'm in a rut; I lost momentum sometime back in the fall and gained 6 lbs back. It might not be much in the big picture, but when it's taken me forever to lose 30 some lbs (7 months), 6 lbs is a lot, especially when I wasn't even at my goal weight yet. So I"m not very motivated because I have to track everything I eat, but I know that along with exercise is the ONLY way I can lose weight. Can you tell I'm lost on motivation? :) I'm probably not as bad as I come across...but just the same, I need some push here. UGH. I"m getting ready to go downstairs and do my elliptical for 30 minutes....The only time (after today) I can really get exercise in is 4:30 a.m.! And I SO don't want to get up that early to exercise. But I'm scheduling myself to lose one pound a week so I can drop at least 15 lbs by our son's high school graduation (June 6 and 18 weeks away). Prayer would be much appreciated, along with any motivational words. Thank you.

Hi. Just joined. I need to increase my exercise...from none to some. I figured this would be a great way to start the habit. Everyone has 10 minutes in their day right? I know I sure do. I plan to do more than this, but a minimum of 10 minutes 5 days a week is still almost an hour a week. :)

I am restarting with SparkCoach and it suggested I come here for tips, etc on quick exercise. I am also trying to do another 30 day challenge. I turned 61 last Monday. My present to my self is the Spark Activity Tracker, which I ordered Friday. I have many silly but potentially life threatening illnesses caused by my poor dietary and exercise habits. More later. I must go buy some healthy food,--fruits and veggies.

Hi everyone, I'm Clint. I'm 51 years old, I've had 3 heart attacks, a stroke, 11 stents and triple bypass surgery... oh... and I've lost 100 pounds. I lost the weight several years ago and slowly over the past 3 years I've put back on 30 pounds. I am determined to pull this 30 off and an additional 30 pounds as well.

hi everyone,
I m Priya from India. I am 29 years old and a software engineer. I have a 11 months old lovely daughter emoticon .I do extended breastfeeding.. emoticon

I want to be a role model for my baby. So i am trying to improve in every area of my life.
Post deliver due to my bad eating habits i gained much weight. i join SP in Aug 2014 and keep a mindful of what i eat and do some exercise when ever posible. it helped me lose a good amount of weight. emoticon

Now I am back to my Pre-prego weight. but my shape is not good. emoticon i have big waistline and belly. which was not there before pregnancy..

Since day 1 of 2015 I m doing 20-25 mins cardio daily.. hope i ll continue this though out the year. I want to have a flat tonned stomach.. emoticon

My name is Darlene but like to be called Dar. I live in Tacoma,WA with my youngest daughter and her husband and their youngest daughter. In my one bedroom apt upstairs on the second floor. I lost my husband in 2005 in Shelton where I use to live and now I live in Tacoma.I need to get at least 10 minutes of walking in everyday but with the weather like this it rains here a lot and sometimes I need to walk to the store when it rains so I have to make sure it don't rain real bad cause sometime it does. We do have an exercise room in the office but they are closed on the weekends and holidays. I also have Leslie Sansone's DVD's and tapes that I can use also.
At least I have some things to start out with.

Just joined the challenge :-). I've done a 45 minute power walk routine for 4 days in a row and feeling great about my momentum. I started exercising 9 days ago and have made it 6 out of 9 of those days, through the new year holiday!

I danced yesterday! Today I walked for 30 minutes. .. I wonder if that means I can have a credit for tomorrow, since I did 20 extra minutes today...just joking! We can do it! Just keep moving! :)

Hi everyone, newby to Sparkpeople. Everywhere I go on the site it says to introduce.yourself here but I still haven't found here yet. Maybe someone can tell me where here is? I'm here but "here" is allusive. Maybe this IS here? I'm Ann and I started walking 4 miles on mon., weds., and Fri. Takes me 90 minutes to do so. I joined the Y a month ago and haven't gone yet. Want to motivate self to go tomorrow boy, new things are hard aren't they? I'm going on 70 and my goal is to get in the best possible shape I can as I plan to visit my daughter in New Zealand next year and want to be up to rigorous sightseeing there and in Australia since it is so close.

Hi All,

I am starting this challenge right now, which means when I get home I have to do some form of exercise for 10 minutes (I think I will dance).

I need a jumpstart because I haven't exercised for like 2 months. I use to walk all the time (I know its cold but that is not always a good excuse I have just gotten off track and been lazy). I like this challenge. 10 minute minimum. Sometimes that is all you need to start and you can keep on going and sometimes that 10 is enough lol.

Happy New Year! I have belonged too spark people for a long time but apparently I was not serious about it. I am determine to lose weight and get physically healthier. I am setting one goal at a time. My first goal is to eliminate white flour/rice etc from my diet. This one will be tough but I am determined. I also decided to commit to getting some form of exercise in for 10 minutes a day. These two areas will be my focus over the next several weeks until they become a habit. I then will choose another goal and so on!
