I want to exercise at least 10 minutes a day. Once you get started, it's easier to go longer. And every 10 minutes means I'll be that much healthier.

I'm just joining and hoping to change my life. I have gained a lot of weight from not eating enough and not sleeping on top of not making smart choices when I do eat! My metabolism is shot!!! I just want to stick with it this time and get back to my old self!

Hello,

As I get closer to 50 years of age, I realize that I need to get to my ideal weight. I am trying to loose 50 by 50. I have 2 years to reach this goal. I have been loosing 1-2 a month, but I would like to step it up to 4-5 lbs. a month.

It's weird. I love exercising (once I get started) and feel good after I am active but I am pretty inconsistent with activity. I am hoping that this challenge will enable me to established a consistent exercise routine.

I'm looking for a new team to join to get motivated again. I've been with Sparkpeople since 1/25/2007. I've kept off 60 of the 70 lbs I had lost. I want to maintain for the time being. I exercise everyday at Curves and do water aerobics. So it will be fun to join this challenging team.

Hi all, I just joined. I need to lose 20-25 gained since an illness. The only initial concern I have is that looking through the all info. here it seems to be a little disorienting trying to understand how to follow team goals. Hi my name is Val. I have been working on being healthy for a while now, but am having a hard time to get to my goals. I started my exercise routine and was doing quite well, but I had a mental setback, so exercise has been sporadic. I have a large amount of weight to get to my long term goal, but I have been working on small goals. I am trying for a pound a week. I am not reaching that goal. Lately I have been losing a few ounces a week which is good. I have a couple of Dr.'s that are trying to help me by keeping track on my progress. Today I have an appointment with one of them. She wanted me to lose 20 pounds in 6 months, but today is the 6th month. I do not think I have lost 10 pounds. I am not giving up. I joined the 10 minute challenge and I am hoping that this will motivate me. So I want to say "Hello"

Hi my name is Brenda, I just started with the 10 minute workout for 5 days a week. Today was my first work out in two years. I'm happy that I finally got up and did after repeating over and over that I was and then didn't. Well today I did. I realized I can't do what I used to do. But over time I know that I will be on track again. Thanks Sparkpeople for your website and all the challenges and everything that you have for us. It is a great webpage and it's free. Hello everyone. I am Carol and I've been on SP since August. I am a 7 year survivor of breast cancer and a few months ago, after doing a stress test, I learned that I had a mild heart attack at some point in my life. With my cardiologist's advice, I made up my mind that I need to get healthier. I am very determined to lose all this excess weight, exercise and eat healthy. Hi all. I am on day 6 of SP & day 1 of this challenge. I'm currently out on disability with herniated discs with pain/numbness down my leg. I guess I'm walking funny to compensate & now have hip pain on that side! emoticon I'm frustrated that I'm 54 & unable to do things I could do earlier this year! I do see a neurosurgeon tomorrow & hope he can help ASAP. I know the extra weight doesn't help & that is what is guiding me. I have been trying the different chair exercises w/Coach Nicole as well as wall pushups. I did 10 min bootcamp cardio workout video w/Coach Nicole & was able to get through with the moderations. I eased up on parts that bothered by hip & back. One day at a time!

The challenge is to get you exercising for 10 minutes a day. This will help you on your journey to a better life.

The idea is to exercise for 4 weeks, there are challenges on the way as you mark off the weeks.

I'm new to this team but have been losing weight for about a year now. So far I'm down 93 lbs, but have been struggling with the same 8 or 10 pounds for several months so it's time to change something. Hi all, I'm new here and wanted to say hi. I'm starting slow with my goals because going over makes me feel better than going under. I'm 40 with about 50 pounds to lose, but I don't want to weigh myself and become discourage so I am focusing on eating right and exercising only. Once I feel a difference in my clothes I'll weigh in. Hi, I'm really happy to start this challenge, because I wanted to do a 30 minutes exercise rutine daily, but yesterday I exercised with this awesome video: 12-Minute Low Impact Cardio Workout from Andrea Metcalf's "Keeping Fit: Cardio" and I felt like it would be difficult for me to start with more than that, so I have to start small to achive what I want.

Hi, Marcia here. I'm 63 years old. I started my Sparks journey in April of 2014 at 303 pounds. Bad for a 5 foot woman. My back and knees are messed up because of my weight. I have had ups and downs but stuck with Sparks and thus far 63 pounds off. I live with my 84 year old Mom, been married twice and divorced twice. I have a daughter from each marriage and from them 3 grandchildren and now 1 great granddaughter. I love to read and do crafts. I am a Christian. That is who I am.

Just found this "challenge." I actually joined a gym, got a personal trainer for 3 sessions and now am hoping to keep doing both strength and cardio without the twice a week training sessions. My trainer got me doing a lot of things I can actually do at home-and I love the treadmill at the gym!

My real challenge for the next month will be to do things on my own. I was planning on 10 minutes twice a day of strength and then walking or stationary bike for the cardio. I am hoping the challenge will further motivate me to keep going.

I'm Kristen. I turn 30 in August. February 9, 2015 I quit smoking cigarettes for good. I gained 20+ lbs. in a very short period of time and didn't care for myweight before I quit smoking. I joined Spark People on May 11,2015 and have lost 13.5 lbs since then. Slowly and steadily I have came into my healthy new lifestyle.
