Hi! I am Melody! I have danced all of my life but discovered belly dance for myself about 7 years ago. I love dancing! I have been fighting depression and over-eating for some time now. Looking to SparkPeople for some support! I am very happy to have found you ladies!
Hello team, I was on here before but left Spark people for awhile and returned. Although I do not dance for a living anymore, I still enjoy dancing around the house for fitness and fun. I'm fairy new to ATS style myself and found it by accident when I showed up for what I thought was arabic (eastern) style belly dance and it was an ATS class.
The possibilities always outnumber the problems. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kristie - Florida
Hi! I'm Christine. I'm 50 and fairly new to BD (been taking classes sporadically for almost a year), currently learning Tribal Fusion. Hoping to find others to help me get and stay motivated. I had lost 50+ lbs but have put 25+ back on and I'm trying to snap out of the backward slide.
Hello! My daughter (jsut turned 18) and I started taking classes around 3 yrs ago in Utah and have taken some off and on since then- I am drawn to tribal fusion most, and though I don't feel I'm any good at the dancing- I DO love it! Unfortunately, since we moved to NM I can't seem to find any teachers here-every time I find one...turns out she has moved out of the state : / I'm just wanting to dance and feeling frustrated because I have no motivation to do it on my own at home...it's just not the same as being in a class. Anyhow, just thought I'd say hello and hopefully find my motivation ;)
I am totally new to belly dancing - have only had 2 classes now through my local YMCA! My teacher is ATS certified and more! She's fun to learn from and she teaches really well so I'm looking forward to going to class every week!!
It feels so good to be doing something fun and different and know I'm helping make a difference in my body at the same time :-)

Hello! I have been doing ITS for about 4 years. I enjoy honing my skills and the sisterhood I've found in the belly dance community. I'm working on triming some of the fat, getting stronger and more flexible. I hope to make some SP friends here!
Hi I'm Fran. Just started belly dancing with a group in my city, PURE. A few weeks later, started a basic belly dancing class. I have don't have any idea what the initials represent that are being used. Wanted to say HI!

I saw your team (made just yesterday, lucky me) and figured I'd have a go! Like I said, I haven't tried Tribal yet, but I've seen a lot of videos on you tube. Hopefully, I'm going to get a couple of instructional DVDs for my birthday.
