My name is Cara and I jog at the speed of molasses. Its actually pretty amazing how slow my natural pace is, but I really enjoy jogging, I just don't jog in a group because otherwise I'll try to speed up, get winded, and not have much fun.
When I was in college and I learned about fast-twitch versus slow-twitch muscle fiber I was super excited. I always thought I was just really unfit and that's why I wasn't fast. Learning I was more of an endurance runner than a sprinter made a lot of sense not just on the track but pretty much in all my exercise escapades. What I lack in speed I make up for in endurance, and that's a good thing to know about myself:).
