Being new is great, so many people are helpful and inspiring,
I have been at this for six weeks and have lost 35 pounds so far (have had bariatric surgery).
At 61, I need all the help I can get!!

Good Morning to everyone!

Wishing all a successful day! Remember to reward yourself for all your accomplishments.

Just got in to work, have a few minutes before I have to go open up the office. Will spend this afternoon cleaning out the parent center. I have more of my personal things here than I realized. That's what happens when you've been at the same site for so many years.

Planning on getting to the gym again today! Hoping to get in a much longer and harder workout.

It really is hard rewarding yourself. I need to find things to reward myself with without spending any money.

I keep falling and getting back up again. I am having a real hard time with these last 60 lbs. They just won't budge!

Thanks for the motivation I am back on track and will stay there this time.

In the beginning of my weight loss last year, I noticed that giving myself a reward was a hard concept. However, it has gotten easier to do finally. I do little things for myself. When I finally reach 200, I plan to have a qualified lady I know give me a pedicure (never had one!) I'm so looking forward to it! My favorite victory reward, which I owe myself right now, is an old movie viewing. I hope to sit down, relax, and just crotchet and watch my movie either by myself or with a friend soon. This victory was accomplished by showing determination to jump back on track after falling down yesterday, of course, at a barbeque! But I'm back and feeling great about it all! Thanks to sparkie!emoticon

Sounds like you are well on your way to your goals. Do you make short term goals? Like when you loose 5 lbs. you will treat yourself to????

Sometimes it's hard to think of ways to reward yourself that doesn't cost any money. For me things are extremely tight right now. My job status right now is a bit shakey, so I don't dare one extra cent. But I do have plenty of vacation hours I can take. I think my first treat will be a day off work to do whatever I want to do. Even if it is absolutely nothing.

Hi All!

I'm a 73 year old great-gramdmother. I've finally decided to loose some of the weight I've carrying around for years. I'm doing pretty well, thanks to SP. I deserve a treat, but not too sure what it will be. Probably a cruise or a trip somewhere.

welcome all!

I think we all need ideas on how to reward ourselves with food, or spending money. I'm sure most of us are feeling the pinch with the way the economy is right now.

Let me throw out the first idea: take an afternoon off from any kind of work and do whatever you consider fun and relaxing. For me it would be to either read a book or work on some of my crafts like stamping greeting cards.

Just joined this team. Hoping this will help me get back on track! I have been so off since I got back to work on the 2nd of May.

My goal right now is to get back to exercising and using the nutrition and fitness tracker. I have to start loosing again.

My first treat to myself will be: going to get a manicure.
