Welcome to the group, I too am new here. I'm glad that you are making strides to take your life back from Fibro. I'm just now getting to the point where the over the counter stuff doesn't help at all. I live on Tramadol to keep moving. The doc has prescribed me Lyrica,,,,don't know if I can afford it yet, we'll see. I hope you find something that will help you quickly. When you feel good, you feel like moving again :) Blessings, Debby
I was in court once regarding an appeal of benefits denial... and I told him what I REALLY wanted was my life back. That didn't happen, but I did get my settlement, and now I have time and a few more resources to do that work you mentioned, to try and keep things on track a bit more.
I think you'll like the team. We listen, cry, laugh, and cheer each other on... in short...
...Welcome to the family! LOL Kathy
"The real secret of success is enthusiasm..." thanks, Walter P. Chrysler. I believe it. That's what I want in my life--to give my imagination a chance, to live with energy and enthusiasm! P.S. I looked up enthusiasm, and it says the root words mean God within... interesting...!
Ralph Waldo Emerson said 'Life belongs to the energetic.' But you don't have to be frenetic and hyper--some energy is quiet and steady, like a heartbeat... and that works too! LOL

I was diagnosed over 12 years ago. It was wonderful knowing this wasn't all in my head. My then DH still thought it was and that caused a lot of problems. Happily, after a divorce I met an amazing man who understands me and doesn't belittle me when I can't do everything I'd like (or he'd like).
I never really did anything for my fibro. I didn't really research it or take measures to make myself feel better. I ate a lot and stayed in bed a lot.
But it's time for me to take care of myself, losing weight and working with my fibro. I have put it off long enough! I used to be an athlete and while I may not be able to sprint and hurdle, I can be healthy again!
