Welcome! You've come to the right place. The concept of this site is help, support, and learning a new way to view food and eating. I've never been successful with weight loss before. I've learned to be accountable to myself and to be honest with myself about the food I eat, and it's working. Even on days like today, when my best plans for food for the day goes out the window, I find I'm still conscious of what I'm eating and able to get back on track without beating myself up over it. Honestly, I'm still astonished at the success I'm experiencing!
I like to keep a couple of things in mind: weight lost slowly tends to stay off better than when it's lost quickly; and a bit of advice I read on this site, that some days you need to take things one choice at a time.

Hi Troxi Welcome, you've found an excellent site and I'm sure you will succeed. I started using the food tracker and fitness tracker from day one and this made all the difference for me. I was amazed at how much food I was eating and even though it was healthy, my portions were just too big. I had been blaming not losing on my fibromyalgia meds as they do cause weight gain in some.
I like the accountablity factor and knowing there is lots of support for those awful days is great too.
Hello, I have been trying to loose weight on my own but it is not working. My son is getting married in October 2013 and I will not be comfortable at all being 210 pounds! My daughter in laws Mother is petite and skinny and I know I know I sound snippy but I just want to be proud of myself on the day of the wedding and be able to dance.!TO TOP IT OFF I GOT MY CHOLESTEROL NUMBERS YESTERDAY AND THEY ARE NOT GOOD AT ALL!!!!!
