I am signing up for water arobics next week and I will do my best to make it to all the meetings. My doctor told me it would be the best exercise for me and my condition.
I want to tell you the truth I have had a hard time dealing with fibro. I am getting better, at first I fought it tooth and nail. I know now that fighting fibro would be a battle I couldn't win, I know work with fibro and the other conditions that fall in line instead of fighting with them.

Sherry and from MN. I like water walking but don't have any access at home. I do well when we go south for the winter but don't find much around here without a gym membership. Best wishes to you on your journey to a healthier lifestyle.

some of those drugs are a royal pain in the scale! LOL
"Fibromites" walk a very fine line between doing enough to make a difference, and doing too much--basically, doing what we USED to do--and every day the line changes! LOL
That doesn't mean it's impossible though, just more of a challenge... and
You just have to start slowly, make any additions even more slowly, move steadily forward and take frequent breaks-- but never stop. You can back off a bit during flare-ups, but if you stop moving, it actually creates more pain for you.

There are two READING ROOMS there, with links to websites and articles that will help you better understand this odd little disease...

I have found that over time what you eat and exercise makes a difference. If you start out slow you too will find things that work for you. I have learned information from others here that has become part of my life style. There is always someone or something that brings me back to this Spark Team Page.
