Sounds SO familiar. You are just like me, I used to be a dancer, and I have had to get used to the idea that there's a difference between 100% NOW and 100% THEN... NOW, 100% is how much I can do without damaging myself, because unlike then, I DON'T BOUNCE BACK! LOL
Start slow, m'dear, or you know what happens: CRASH AND BURN! And REMEMBER, stretching a tight muscle is uncomfortable, but it shouldn't be an active or sharp pain. There really is no such thing as "no pain, no gain". The people who tell you that?

Hi all! I am 31, have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia for approximately 3 and a half years, and am now living gluten free. I'm not currently happy with my meds for fibro, but I keep coming back to the idea that if there was less of me, there would be less of me to hurt.
I'm looking to lose about 30 lbs, but I'm having some difficulty with working out. I used to be a college athlete, and am used to working out HARD. It is very difficult for me to go to the gym and not put 100% effort in. Of course, that leads to lots of couch time a day or two later.
My rheumatologist wants me to do yoga 2-3 times a week. Not sure where I can find the time with my schedule... which is part of the reason I'm looking for a new job.
