If you have sleep apnea, treatment can make a world of difference--but it isn't a cure-all by any means. You'll still have to learn to deal with the fibro on your own terms... if you click on the team name, it takes you to a list of discussion topics, including our library where you can learn all about the latest fibro news...

Keep watching the posts and asking questions... this is a great bunch of folks!

Welcome aboard...

"The real secret of success is enthusiasm..." Walter P. Chrysler said it, I believe it. That's what I want in my life--to give my imagination a chance, to live with energy and enthusiasm!

Ralph Waldo Emerson said 'Life belongs to the energetic.' But you don't have to be frenetic and hyper--some energy is quiet and steady, like a heartbeat... and that works too! LOL

Life comes in specific increments, which we receive as a gift of one moment at a time. That's why it's called t

Hello I have had fibromyalgia for 14 years. Please don't be frustrated. Try not to let it rule your life. Yes it is painful and there are limits. Find out what works best for you. The hardest part for me is asking others for help. You can do any thing you put your mind to. emoticon

Depression goes along with the Fibro. I know my doctor said that With your Conditions I would expect you to be depressed". I understand why the doctor wants to wait for you to have the sleep test before he puts you on medication because the medications often affect the test results. I hope that the sleep tests are scheduled for very soon so you do not have to suffer for to long.

Hello-
Ive just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. I had it for a long time but was always told I was depressed. I'm still confused on a lot of things. Frustrated is more like it. The docter just gave me a few pages to define what fibromyalgia is. I don't have any meds yet because he wants to wait till I have a sleep test. Then he can prescribe me something. In the mean time I'm supposed to wait here. Did I mention I'm frustrated? lol
I am glad to have joined this team. Maybe you all can shine some light on this disease.
