Did you know just beginning a 5 minute walking program in your house, around in circles or marching in place. Make several trips to put things away instead of taking as much as you can in one trip. If you have the VERA channel on your TV, they have chair exercises and yoga that is fairly easy. Hope these suggestions can help. You CAN do it!! Keep in contact with us. Sue, welcome to the gang. Sparkpeople have lots of sites to go to. Look around and you will find one that has chair exercises. The recipes have all kinds of good things. Go to thst site and enter what you are looking for and I'm sure something will come up. Good luck and know we are all here for you.
I have just joined this today because I really need a lot of help to get a lot of weight off. I am 59 years old and I weigh 425, so you see I am at a very dangerous stage right now. I have tried to get the bariatric surgery at many places but have been turned because of my weight or my addictive personality as they say orother reasons, so I guess I need to do it this way, if I can, cuz I really feel if I don`t I won`t be around much longer. I am not a very organized person at all so keeping track of calories and such is very tough for me, but I need to try. I am also quite disabled and am unable to walk very well so exercise is very hard for me too. so I would love to get some suggestions, and I would love to get some easy recipes that are not so fattening...so here I am.
