Here's another great site. Bruce Campbell offers online classes a few times a year. The cost of the class includes a great book called "The CFIDS and Fibromyalgia Self-Help Book".

HI!
If you click on the team title at the top of the page, it brings up a list of discussion topics, which includes our Reading Rooms... LOTS of info there, including links to all kinds of articles and sites that offer information on fibromyalgia...

And you can always ask questions: if you don't find a topic that addresses your concern, START one! LOL

You're never alone here...
Welcome to the team!

Ralph Waldo Emerson said 'Life belongs to the energetic.' But you don't have to be frenetic and hyper--some energy is quiet and steady, like a heartbeat... and that works too! LOL

Hello,

Welcome to the group! I'm new to this group as well, and I really like it so far. There are a lot of helpful people here. In order to suggest things, it would help to know more about you and your symptoms. Are you taking any medications or supplements for FM symptoms? Do you pace yourself? Use timers to make sure you take frequent breaks when you're up (and to make yourself get up and move)? Do you volunteer? What kinds of distractions do you use? Does your body have a "schedule" of any kind? Mine has mostly settled into one...I'm 'ok' Sunday through Wednesday, my pain level about doubles on Thursday and is much worse on Friday...Saturdays can go either way. My pain level doubles between 2 & 3 in the afternoon and gets progressively worse until I go to bed, so I'm rarely out of the house after 3 or 4.

One of the best places I've found for information on FM is exchanges.webmd.com/fibromyalgia-exc

Nearly everything I've learned about FM has been connected to that support group in one way or another - posts, links, articles...and there are a couple of doctors, too.

Hello Everyone. I am new to this site and this group. I don't know very much about fibro except what my own experience has been for the last 2 years. It has been horrible and the only type of exercise I can tolerate is water therapy. I do have a YMCA membership and they have a special pool called "The Well" which is 11 feet deep and that is warm and it works really well for me to work with my body otherwise I don't have any other options realistically. I do strech at home every day of course I would be bed ridden if I didn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! emoticon
