I have not and will not go in again for tests for fibro. I was diagnosed 18 years ago and also know I have CFS - that has been diagnosed, too. I find that gentle exercise and no sugar helps me a lot. Like Kathy, I keep my sunny side up. Attitude helps so much.

"The real secret of success is enthusiasm..." thanks, Walter P. Chrysler. I believe it. That's what I want in my life--to give my imagination a chance, to live with energy and enthusiasm!

Ralph Waldo Emerson said 'Life belongs to the energetic.' But you don't have to be frenetic and hyper--some energy is quiet and steady, like a heartbeat... and that works too! LOL

Figures....

I stopped playing guinea pig-- though I let them do the tests since I have to have regular blood draws etc anyway, I don't play Russian roulette anymore with every new medication that hits the market--I've been "hit" way too many times! LOL

I know if I just keep a positive attitude, it helps. It may not get me any extra energy, but it sure beats being down on myself. I didn't choose this disease, and I'm not taking the blame for it--nor am I going to let it make me sad. I have too much to be grateful for even with all the pain... people who care about me, a great medical team dealing with all my other health issues, and of course the SparkTeams...

Life is good.

Been tested for both vitamin & thyroid. In fact, my doctor has been increasing/decreasing changing my thyroid medications for 2 years now, with no results. I have reached the point that I am sick of even trying any more. All the doctors just act like I am a "test dummy" with no feelings. That it does not matter that I do not feel good, have no energy, can't loose this stupid weight, can't get a good nights sleep, am depressed, and it is a major effort just to get up from a chair....let alone do any thing else.

Yes, my thyroid and vitamin level tested along with other basic issues every 6-8 months. All okay.

have you been tested for thyroid and vitamin deficiencies? Curious, as those things are a key part of my fatigue levels...

If someone does, I want to be sure I read it! I have suffered like that for more years than I care to remember. Even before they gave it a name. Maybe I'll do something for 10 min., then rest for 30.

I ran some errands this a.m., so now having to rest before I can even make it to the hair salon. I can no longer wash my hair even, I can't hold my arms over my head that long to wash it, let alone dry and style it!

I too will get so exhausted my heart beats wildly. I'll have panic attacks. Take my morning meds, but no evening. It is too highly additive. More than not, I'll wake up during the night with a jolt, having a panic attack.

So, you are not alone. I walk right beside you.

I have fibro/cfs. tired all the time. More often the not I am exhausted. Just doing a simple thing like transfering laundry from the washer to the dryer makes my body feel & my heart beat like I have tried to climb mt everest. Is it normal to be so wiped out all the time and have such little things take all your energy and make your heart beat so fast with fibro/cfs? And the headaches.....everyday. Sometimes all day long. The pain from head to toe. I take Cymbalta. It is the only thing I can take which does not cause me to gain weight. I am already more then a hundred pounds over weight, don't need to take something which makes me gain more. I rarely have any energy. Have lost all desire to do even things that I enjoy, let alone thing that need to be done everyday. I feel hopeless. I have been to so many doctors and they all say the same thing, that it is fibro/cfs and I just have to live with it. But what I am doing is not living, it is existing!! Does anybody have any thoughts for me?
