Hey Everyone! I'm Liz. I feel like it was not too long ago I originally joined this team after my son who is now 20 months old. Well, just as soon as I was finally making progress in my weight loss after him I found myself pregnant again. So now my baby weight loss efforts are an EXTRA 25 pounds on top of the original 25 I had left to lose ON TOP of the 50 lbs I had left to lose on my original, non pregnancy related weight loss goals. Ah this is why is my closet is so full, all my clothes range from sizes 14 to 22 with maternity wear as well! So, I have about a hundred pounds to lose now! Ahhh. I want a bigger family but my goal is to not have baby #3 until I am at a comfortable 150lbs. Hoping I can lose this 100 within the next year or two. I want to be an example of great health for my kids (20 month old boy and 3 week old girl). I'm starting off with walking and yoga for now just to ease myself back into fitness as I'm still not cleared to really workout after delivering 3 weeks ago. I'm looking for some mommy friends to help keep each other accountable. Anyone up for that?
All I ask of you is one thing. Please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism. It's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen. - Conan Obrien

Hi everyone!!! My name is Ashley - I'm a mother of 3 absolutely hysterical handfuls (3 boys!) ages : 5, 20mo, and 6mo! Before kids I was 5'11'' and a mere 155lbs. I have been battling baby weight for the last few years. Every time I start we have anther kid! Ha ha.
Since January I have gone from 212lbs (started tracking on Spark officially at the end of January) down to 180lbs. I am extremely proud and cannot wait to hit AND MAINTAIN a comfortable weight around 165. I do not want to be a twig. I just want to be healthy for my boys.

Hi everyone...I just had my second daughter 5 weeks ago by cesarean and am needing to lose quite a bit of weight. I am breastfeeding right now and trying to cut back on my calories because I haven't been given the go ahead to exercise yet. I'm hoping that by getting on SP everyday I can get some daily motivation to stay on track.

Hi Team! I'm Nikki, 31 and mom of my first, a 6 month baby boy. But I've been a "mom" for 8 years to my step daughter who I have lived with full time since she was 5. I was in great shape when I got married in 2009 and its all been downhill since. I was at 196 when I got pregnant! Luckily I didn't gain a ton and lost the baby weight so I am right back to that 196 area again. Its so hard to fund time to work out with a full time job, 12 year old, 6 month old who only wants mommy, housework, dinner and so on! So trying to get in walks when I can, taking the stairs and getting back to tracking what I eat and being smarter about things. And I just got a jogging stroller so maybe I can get running now its warmer! I could use all the help, support and friends I can get to motivate me and I'll be happy to return the favor!

Hello, I'm Megan and I just had my baby girl Allie on 2/28 (she turns 2 weeks old today!) I was a spark member previously and lost a bunch a weight prior to getting pregnant. During my pregnancy I gained about 35 pounds and am down several, but I would love to be 140 by the fall (my sister in law is getting married). Super excited to slim down and go back to eating healthy and feeling great!

Hi there! I'm Grace, I was overweight/obese my whole life until hubby and I decided to have kids. I lost 65lbs over 15 months (largely thanks to Spark) so I could have as healthy a pregnancy as possible. Our little boy, Elliott is now 23 days old. I'm giving myself March to slowly ease back into Sparking daily, then as of April 1st, I'm back on full-tilt to lose the 15 or so pounds that haven't magically shed themselves yet.
Lost 65lbs in 15 months to get healthy and in top shape to try to get pregnant, and succeeded! Had our first baby in February 2013!
I only gained 32lbs in my pregnancy (and immediately lost half within a few weeks of his birth). April 1st is my full restart date.

Hello everyone!! My name is Jessica. I have an active 2 1/2 year old little boy and a beautiful 7 month old little girl! I only gained about 25 lbs with the last pregnancy but I have gained much more since then. My goal is to lose about 50 lbs to get back to a healthy weight. My biggest challenge I am facing is juggling all of my motherly responsibilities (including working full time) with fitting in exercise and a healthy diet. I have decided that I am done making excuses and ready to see some results. I have been on this journey for 3 days now. I have been working out every day even if only for a 15-20 minutes and I already am seeing results. Not in the form of weight loss but I am feeling like I am in charge of my body and I feel very empowered. I already feel like I have more energy and I sleep like a baby at night (when I'm not up with the baby that is).

Hey everyone. My name is Amanda and I have two beautiful and active kids, a 3 year old boy and a 11 month old little girl. Im restarting my weightloss journey, I started SparkPeople back in 2011 but after losing 12lbs in a month I found out I was expecting my daughter, so I had to back away from the dieting.
I gained about 50lbs total with both pregnancies, I dropped it all and then slowly it crept back on and its hanging on..TIGHT..I struggle with pre-diabetes and hypothyrodism which I used as a crutch before but now its GAME ON...its time for me to feel great about myself and not feel like the fatty in the room..

Hello all, my name is Robyn, my first little girl was born last March. I gained 92 pounds while pregnant (262 at delivery) and standing at a not-so-healthy 226 was where I was left after recovery from my cesarean delivery. Over the last couple weeks I've managed to lose 16 pounds (mostly due to a liquid diet from tooth surgery) but seeing the number on the scale go down was the motivation I needed to get things back on track to where I as at a very athletic 170 pre-baby. I don't care about being skinny I just want my confidence and my size 9 jeans back and if I lose more- all the better.
I packed on most of those 92 pounds in my second trimester when my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer that had metastasized to her liver. It's true- stress and worry (and hospital food) can really add to your waist-line. I've never been one to enjoy sweets, sugary foods or soda, my problem has always been my absolute LOVE for pasta. (can we say CARB-queen) If I can boil it and add sauce I'll eat it. My goal is to be back at my pre-baby weight but finding time to exercise is a hassle. My now 10 month old and I used to take 2 miles walk but she's no longer content to go for a 35 minute stroller ride through the country, so my exercise has dramatically dropped. Nothing more than bending and stooping during housework and short walks to the clothesline as of late.
As an adolescent I was always overweight, went through a few months of depression and anorexia at 17 and lost 74 pounds in 7 weeks and kept it off until pregnancy 4 years later. While that's highly tempting I know that's not healthy and I have a husband and baby to look after now. I'm serious about weight loss though, I've carried these rolls long enough- it needs to find it's way to my boobs or get the hell outta here. :]

Hey Everyone! I'm Jane and I am just starting my weight loss journey. DD is 18 months now and it's way past time for me to get healthy. I was working on losing weight when we found out I was preggers. I was 195 pounds after losing 40lbs...currently at 255, the biggest I have ever been. I plan to lost 125 pounds within 2 years.
Even though Ruby was a totally surprise to us, she is everything to me. I want to be a healthy Mum for her and not a fatty for her to potentially be embarrassed by. My family is all obese and I'll be the first to work hard getting to a healthy weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle, hoping to break the laziness that runs in my family and have DD be taught how to maintain her health so hopefully she will not have to face losing a significant amount of weight and the health problems that come with an unhealthy lifestyle.

Welcome to all you newbies and Happy New Year. yes, we are all in the same boat...trying to lose that baby weight...except I will be back at it again this year since I am due with a new little one middle of March. But seeing that I have yet to get rid of any of the other baby weight I feel like I am WAY behind. But I know with a little support from you ladies...we can all achieve our goals. If any of you are interested, I will be posting a January fitness challenge later on today. Would love it if some of you wanted to participate! As far as exercising in the winter months....I too find that difficult. Fortunately our church as an indoor walking track that I can use during the day...I prefer to go at night since I get the feeling my boys get bored with me doing that...so I do try to do stuff inside or take them to a mall with me and walk around the mall some. Just some activity to get us out of the house. If any of you are interested in the challenge, it will be on the team page underneath Team activities and goals...something like that...I can't ever remember exactly what it says but the sticky topic will be 'January Challenge of the Month for 2013'. Hope to see you there!

Congratulations on your new addition! I'm from PA so I know all about the cold and long winter weather months! My daughters 8 months old and I usually work out in doors while she's asleep. However, if you're more interested in outdoor activity I suggest a jogging stroller with a plastic rain cover for the front and a nice jog through the neighborhood or a local park :) I know personally my daughter has always really enjoyed the fresh air since birth so maybe your little one will too! :) Also, breast feeding burns about 500 calories per day

Hey everyone! I just had my son, James on November 21. I lost all but 10 pounds of the pregnancy weight right away, but I would like to lose about 20 more on top of that by the end of this year. My biggest issue is figuring out what I can do with the baby, especially in the cold winter in New Jersey. I look forward to your support and spending time on this journey with all of you!

Hi everyone, my little boy turned one month old on Sunday. I'm about 10 pounds above my pre-pregnancy weight and would like to loose about 15-20 pounds. Before I got pregnant I was really trying to get in shape to have a baby and was 6 weeks into doing p90x when I found out I was pregnant. I only gained 30 pounds while pregnant but I feel like I lost all my muscle mass and gained fat in places I never had it before. Because I had hyper-emesis and low blood pressure while pregnant I couldn't work out. While I don't know where I'll find the time, I can't wait til my doctor gives me the green light to exercise again in 2 weeks. I feel like I have no abs left at all and I know I'm overall not as strong as I used to be, even with lifting my little guy all day long! I can't stand this awkward in between phase where none of my pre-pregnancy clothing fits but all the maternity pants are ridiculously big.

Hi all! :) My name is Ashley and I am a first time mom to a wonderful, very energetic soon to be 8 month old baby girl. After she was born I lost 20 pounds almost instantly and at the beginning of July I decided it was time to try for the rest of it! When I got pregnant I weighed about 145 lbs and the day my daughter was born I weighed in at 220 lbs (eeshk! I know!) Since then I've lost 20 lbs and it's been a horrendous process filled with stress and uncertainty. Not much has changed. I'm at the end of my rope and am looking for other moms to share this weight loss journey with :) I also have a question for the rest of you fabulous mommies out there: anyone have what they call the dreaded "mommy apron?" (stretched belly flab that hangs down and looks, oddly enough, like a short apron)

Hello, my name is Alaina. I'm a completely single mom with a seven month old son. He is my first, my only, and the love of my life. I'm struggling trying to lose this baby weight. I'm tired of feeling fat and uncomfortable in my own skin. I'm not losing this for anyone but myself and to teach my son healthy living skills. I'm new to spark people and I really need the added support. I'm so hoping that this is what works, what keeps me motivated and to push myself. :)

Hi! I'm Fitjerri. I have about 30 lbs to lose post baby... I am a SAHM to four littles, it gets crazy but I love every minute of it! I'm ecstatic to have my new baby, but ready to wear something besides maternity jeans!
I'm 5'1, and weight has always been a battle for me. I became a lifetime WW member after high school, before that I was obese. I have managed my weight through fitness and different styles of healthy eating. But, after the fourth baby, it seems like I'm not bouncing back as quickly this time! LONG story.
I would love to meet an accountability partner with similar goals. :)

Hi my name is Monique!
I had my son on Feb 4, 2012. I also have two girls 11 and 7. Although I never gained much while pregnant, I always seem to put on 10lbs after the babies were born. Needless to say i want to lose about 30lbs. I like joining the challenges because they help me stay motivated to lose the weight.
I'd lost 10lbs using sparkpeople in 2010, so i'm just trying to get that spark back! Good Luck everyone!!!!

Hi everyone!
My name is Tara. I'm 29 years old and gave birth to my little girl 5 weeks ago! I used sparkpeople after college to lose 40 pounds and have only 10 more to get back to my goal weight.
Thanks to breastfeeding, my baby weight has fallen off. But I need some MAJOR toning as I didn't do much strength training during pregnancy.
I hope this group can help keep me motivated when I feel I don't have the time with work and a new baby to get those workouts in.
NICE TO MEET YA'LL!

Hello everyone, my name is Gaibriella and I am a mother of a beautiful 2 year old girl :) I am 162 lbs and hoping to get down to 130 lbs, or at least be in good shape ! I am in horrible shape and I just want to be healthy again, for me, and to set an example for my daughter ! I live in the middle of nowhere in Ontario, Canada so I am hoping to find some friends on Spark People to keep me on track and just to relate to :) This is my 3rd time using spark people, and the other 2 times I gave up. I am done feeling like crap about myself and I am done "wishing" I was fit, if I want to be fit, I have to work for it !

Hello! My name is Rachel and I gave birth to my beautiful little girl in June. I also have a 2 1/2 old daughter. I would love to get healthy for my daughters! I grew up with two overweight parents with unhealthy eating habits. I want to teach my kids how to eat right, be fit, and happy with their body's. Actions speak louder than words! I need to start showing my girls how to live a healthy life. I have 50 lbs to loose! I know I can do it!

hello all. I'm Jenn and it's nice to meet you. Before I got pregnant in Feb 2011, I had lost 25 pounds and exercised an hour a day. I gained 60 (!) pounds while pregnant and still have another 30 pounds to lose to get back to my pre-baby weight. At the same time, we are TTC so we'll see what ultimately happens. My short term goal is to lose about 10 pounds Nov 4. I struggle with portion sizes. I feel like I overeat at most meals except breakfast. And getting to the gym is a struggle. I feel like i have no time because I want to spend a ll the time I can with my daughter. I work full time so I don't see her all day every day....hope to interact with you soon.

Hi my name is Erin and I'm in the same boat as all of you...really trying/going to try to lose the rest of my baby weight and then some. I gained 36 lbs during my pregnancy (2nd) and my little man will be 6 weeks old tomorrow. I've lost 29 lbs so far and am wanting to lose some additional weight besides what I gained during the pregnancy. I gained some weight before I got pregnant so I'm trying to lose that as well. I'm EFB and work full time as well as trying to exercise but just can't seem to find the time! I'll be returning to work from maternity leave on Monday and will start eating healthier than I have been. I figure if I take my lunch and snacks I won't have anything unhealthy to eat. My first goal is to get back to pregnancy weight of 143 then down to 130.

Hi I am Leah! I just had my second son in July.I did start sparkpeople last august and then found out in November I was pregnant. I never really lost weight from my first pregnancy so for the second pregnancy pre preg= 180 and weighed 199 when I had him. I have lost 24 lbs since then weighing 174 lbs. My first goal weight is 140 and then I want to eventually be 130 lbs like highschool.

Hi, My name is Patti. I originally joined January of 2011 at 196# got down to 162 in August 2011 and just 2 months later I found out i was pregnant. I now have a beautiful 3 1/2 month old daughter and want to change to show her being healthy is a good thing. This is not only quitting smoking but also losing my excess weight. At 162 i was 22 pounds lighter than when i was a senior in highschool. My goal this time around is 155. I know i can do this because i did it before but now that I have someone else to think of before myself i let myself go. At 13 weeks I was 171 pounds. When i delivered i was 199 pounds. I lost 17 pounds after having her but today i stepped on the dreaded scale to see 191. I went right back up to where I didn't want to be. So I am back now to get back to my old self. My first goal is 185 by Christmas!! I bet I can do better than that but not going to push it.

I still consider myself young at 31. I have a beautiful 11 month old daughter. Before I got pregnant I was battling weight issues. Then I got pregnant with Emily and gained 60lbs! Most of that weight is gone now. (thank goodness). But I'm back at where I started before her. I struggle with keeping a good diet going because I get bored eating the same things all the time. Hoping I can find motivation with this group.

HI, I'm Amanda. 22 years old, 5"2', Navy Wife, and Mom to two boy's under the age of 2 1/2. My First, Riley, was born May 2010. I was 135 lb pre baby, and became 165 lb after Riley. Then Immediately became Pregnant with my Second son, Aedin, born May 2011. And went up to 216 lb afterwards. They were both C-Sections, Sadly I've separated my muscles in my abs from that, but worth it. The goal is to reach back down to the 130 lb range. 202 lb so far, gradual but I'm working on making it for more! I just want to look and feel healthy again, get my energy and reduce the aches! I originally joined three years ago after baby 1, but I gave up and just lived however i wanted. Baby #2 is 4 months old, and I am so ready to change! And this time, the vanity and desire to be skinny is still there, but it's joined by the desire to be healthy just for the sake of being healthy :)

Hi everyone, My name is Rose. I have an 18 month old daughter that we call Margie for short :) I'm going to school online at Liberty University. I am thoroughly enjoying that. Margie is potty training now and it is very time consuming lol. Anyway, I have been on and off of Sparkpeople for over a year now I think and now I want to try and keep a fairly regular workout schedule so I will live longer and be less fatigued all the time. Oh and I'm 20 years old by the way. I hope to meet some moms on here!

Hello, My name is Emily and I'm a first time mother of a 7 month old little girl named Angela. She was born on November 18 (my 30th birthday). I have always struggled with my weight but now that I am through the first tough months of motherhood I am ready to challenge myself and get my body back in control. I am currently working full time which is proving very challenging which I'm sure every working mother can attest to. One of my current challenges is that I am still bf and pumping, supply and having the energy to keep up with it all is overwhelming. Thankfully in the next few months I might have the opportunity to become a stay at home mom! What a answer to prayers that will be. If that happens I want to turn my free time to focusing on my physical improvement. I can't wait to get to know some of you and if anyone is interested in a buddy I am looking for one or two. I have a long road ahead but I'm sure, with your help, we can concur anything! Very Respectfully, -Emily

Hey all, I'm a mom of a 10.5 month old baby girl. I nursed for about eight weeks after she was born, during which time I kicked all of my baby weight and then some to the curb. I have gained it all back and then some! I about threw up at a recent appointment when I discovered how much I actually weigh. So now I'm back at SP hoping this can help me get this weight off. 80 pounds! Oh boy!

Hi! My name is Kelly. I am 35 years old and the mother to 2 beautiful baby boys. One is age 3 years and the other will be 2 in 6 days. I have been overweight for quite some time now. And then of course, having kids has added to the weight gain. And to make matters worse, we would like to have another kid and I can't wait to lose all the weight just to get pregnant again b/c of my age but that is another story all together. Niki has brought me on as a co-team leader to help her out with the challenges. So I would love to hear any input anyone has as to potential new challenges for the future and I have some ideas of my own. I look forward to getting to know more ladies here on the team. Good Luck everyone!

Hi Everyone, I haven't had a chance to update my page, but I'm back. I lost 40 lbs or so pre baby. I had my daughter in 12/11 and am heavier now then I have every been. I'm still bf, so I'm worried about eating less or exercising for fear that my supply will tank (I'm actually an exclusive pumper and have had supply issues- my baby was a preemie). We are in our 30's and want to have another lo within a yr (maybe two), so I need to focus on lossing weight! I decided I'm going to start by cutting out ice cream and just tracking what I eat. Does anyone know if they make special nutritional goals for bfing momma's? I know weight watchers does, but I can't remember if spark does? Oh well, thanks for reading!

Hi! I'm Erin or Rin and I'm new to the team. I've had success with spark before. I lost about 50 pounds a few years ago but gained it back and then some! I had my beautiful baby girl in December of 2011 and topped the scales at 224 lbs. I'm only 5'3"! I've successfully lost almost 42 pounds since giving birth, but I have about 48 more to get to my ultimate goal weight. I've gotten back into running and am training for my 6th half marathon which will be in September. I have plans to possibly run a full marathon next Spring. We'll see! We are about to move from Nashville to Knoxville TN and I'm eating my stress!!! I work full time and am obviously a full time mom, so I'm busy, but I will try to get on here and check in as much as possible. I need all the support and motivation I can get.

Hi everyone! I started my page over a year ago and never looked at it again. Now I am restarting post-baby. My sweet little doll is 6 weeks old and I am really struggling with what my body has become! I had previously lost 65 pounds and now I am back over 200. I just can't muster the motivation to keep at it. i am also trying to understand my different needs as a nursing mother. I will be here looking for support!

Hello everyone, I have joined because I am battling the weight. My daughter is not really a baby anymore, but close enought (2.5) so anyway i find it hard to get out and exercise.I play with her when i can but i work full time and have back and leg problems so i cant work out much just really walk when the weather is good. So anyway enough rambiling and excuses i want to loose weight and get back to what i was before her so i can keep up with her. lol

Hi! My name is Sarah and I joined SP last year to lose weight before TTC... well, both happened and now I have a 5 week old baby boy! I did gain alot of weight while pregnant and now I'm looking to lose about 35 lbs and 3 dress sizes. I'm not really sure how much I can do with the little one so I'm going to start really small. Hi everyone! I'm Sarah, a 20 year old Air Force wife. My daughter is 9 months old, and her name is Jaynie!
I got married when I was 18, and 5 months later, we found out I was pregnant! When we got hitched, I was about 25 lbs overweight. By the time I had my baby, `well, I was where I am now. Even though I've gotten a trainer once a week, made some minor diet changes, and have an active little girl.... I just haven't lost the weight. In fact, I've gained 5 lbs.
It is quite disheartening, but alas, life goes on, and so does my battle with my weight. Hopefully SP will really help me stay motivated and will keep me motivated!

I walk mainly also, walk at a pace to raise your heart rate, if you can Chat normally your heart rate is low, if you can have a bit of a conversation but have to take a break to breath you are in fat burning mode. If you can't chat at all you are over doing it. I hope this helps. I also time my walks and try to take off a 1 min the next time around. For time start out small and build up. 1 hr or more I like to walk for 2 or 3 but I am used to being on my feet for 8 hrs straight. Just remember if your calves start to hurt, do a little jog in between km so your legs don't get too sore. Hope this helps.

Heya
I'm a first time mom to an awesome 4 week old baby boy named Oliver... I've got about 35 pounds to lose, and I'm ready to get started! I'm working part-time and taking care of the baby while my husband is at work, so I'm trying to figure out how to exercise in the middle of all that.
I also have a gigantic sweet tooth and I am an avid baker... neither of which are helping the cause. :)

Hi! My name is Breane and my son is 4 months old. I have lost about 20 pounds and need to lose18-20 more. I am working full time and some nights still have to get up with my son. My husband works long hours so I need to find time to exercise with my son at home. Any suggestions or words of encouragement are welcomed!

Hi everyone!! I'm 25 yrs old, a first time stay at home mom, to a beautiful baby girl who is almost 6 months! I decided I'm overdue to get into shape. I gained 28 pounds with pregnancy but wasn't very thin to start with, lost most of the baby weight almost right away but then emotional eating kicked in. Sleep deprivation = me eating lots! Then it just became a nasty habit that I badly need to change. So any mamas out there who would like to message, text, etc back and forth and support each other I am very eager to make some changes. Preferably exercising with baby! Good luck to you all!!
