We had some major celebrations when DD started using the potty too... only another mom can appreciate that insane giddiness, other people thought I was nuts!

Find the bribe that works, and run with it! For DD it was M&Ms... Mommy's girl. I've also heard that if you give them lots of sugar and salt (try not to think about it...) it makes them go more and helps in training.

Good luck!!

If you run, you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run.

Welcome!

Potty training... oh gosh. My 6 year old was potty trained at 3 and it was like a new life haha. We did a lot of "naked" time in the house and whenever she peed in the baby toilet we made a HUGE deal out of it... It's conditioning, but it works! It just took quite a bit of time.

I haven't found the bribe that works. But, I think we MIGHT have had a breakthrough this weekend. His birthday is on Sunday...he'll be 3, so if we just switch over completly to pull-ups, I'll be thrilled!!

I'm not a Sue either. Granted, it seems like some people are just DYING to call me Susan or Sue. If they are over 50...I let it go, I swear that generation just can't help it! My dad just took a liking to calling me Sue. He gets the stink eye when he does it! LOL!

Oh potty training... sorry, we just got lucky too! One day we told DD that we were all out of diapers, so she had to use the potty. I think she had just a couple of accidents, and that was that.

In general, though, I highly recommend bribes! emoticon

Susie really is an awesome name, isn't it?! Funny, I'm also a Suzanne, Susi, or Suz, but not a Sue.

That's because it's an awesome name!! I'm Susie, Susannah or Sus. There is a little girl that takes dance in the class before my DD and her name is Susie...which is so wierd to hear a little girl with that name!

Any tips you have on potty training would be AWESOME!! My DS is really resistant. My DD was so easy...I just had to face the fact it wasn't because I was good at it!!

Hi Susannah!

(Have you ever noticed that every 3rd person on this site is some variation of Sue...?!)

I have a just-turned 3-year-old DD; we'll have to trade tips!

I realized that I wasn't super active in any of my teams, and just needed a GOOD one! I'm excited to have found this.

I work full time at the coorporate headquarters of a well known craft supplier/retailer. I have 2 kids, one 5 and one 3 this week! YIKES! I changed jobs last year, and am just starting to get used to a new routine. It's hard finding time to do it all, and hope there are some good tips to pick up!
