Hi Everyone! I too need some help and support. I've been on SP for quite a few years. I lost about 30 lbs after I had my 2nd son (in 2008) but I've gained that all back and I've been "dabbling" in getting healthy and losing weight for over a year now. I'm sick of the excuses I make for quickly eating out or gorging when I say that fitness is important to me! I work full time in an office and sales but my husband travels for work most of the month so I also feel like I'm a full time stay at home mom of preschool and 1st grade boys! ...in fact my oldest is home sick with the flu and 103 temp today -- so I decided today was a wake up call to focus in on what I SAY is important :)
A strand of 3 is not easily broken... so I'd love to connect with a few ladies who want to keep each other accountable!

Hi all, its wonderful to read about all of you!
I am not new to SP (started it a few years ago... but didn't stick with it!)
I am a new mom, my daughter has just turned 8 months and I am looking to get back into being healthy. I work full time, and have an internship for a MA program on the side. Its easy to say I'm 'too busy', but really its just an excuse.
I'm looking for a partner(s) who would like to check in regularly. I am more likely to be accountable if there is someone else waiting on me. Please message me if you are interested!

Hi! I am also new to the team but not to SP. I have been on a hiatus, though. It's time to get serious! I have two daughters (almost 3 and 14 months) and work full-time in a high stress job. I have been married for three years. I am looking for some new friends to talk to about goals and motivation as well as the latest in movies and books.
I hope you all have a great day!

Hello everyone! I am back after a long break from SP (I also had a different profile). I just gave birth to my little girl 8 weeks ago. I am still holding on to the last 10 pounds of baby weight. I am looking for motivation and support as I go back to work next month. I really just want to get in shape to be a good example for my daughter.

Hi everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself. I have a two year old son and I work full time with a very long commute everyday. I joined spark people because I am sick of giving the excuse of having a child and working full time for being overweight. I find it very hard to find the time to workout because I don't want to take away any more time from my son and he isn't at the age when he can really workout with me. I started walking during lunch for 30 minutes and I am trying to really watch my calories. I am open for any suggestions. I work a desk job so it is hard for me to get any physical activity during the day.

Hey everyone! I am new to the group and SparkPeople. I am a single working mom to a wonderful little 5 year old boy. I love being a mom but sometimes the stress of life and work can get a little crazy and hectic and lately it has consumed my life. I am hoping to get everything back on track soon! Especially my health and fitness, I hope this site can help!

Hi! I'm a full-time working mom to two preschoolers - a 3year old girl and a 2 year old boy :-) I gained weight with both pregnancies, but have gained even more since my son was born - I am looking to lose like 50 pounds now. I've had success with SparkPeople in the the past (pre-kids!), so I'm hoping I can stick with it this time! The good part is, my husband is looking to lose weight, too - so I'm not in it alone!
One of my biggest problems is finding time to work out. It seems like I'm stealing time from someone - my kids, my husband, etc - or not getting something else done (the house cleaning, extra work tasks, SLEEP, etc) in order to make it work, and i haven't found a system that really works for me yet. My husband suggested trying out the local Rec Center, as they have childcare, but I'm not sure how it will work with my commute/work schedule, and trying to get the kids a healthy dinner too.

Sorry - I created a new topic when I really should have posted here...
Hi! My name is Gina. I'm a mommy to 2 really cute kids who keep me really busy! If I had HALF of their energy... During most of the year, I am an elementary music teacher at a very sweet Christian school in Louisiana. But now it's summer time and we're HOME a lot!!! And I'm determined to make a few changes before I return to school in the fall. I'd like to have more energy to play around with my kids. I'd like to feel better about myself. I'd like to fit in my clothes. I REFUSE to buy more "fat" clothes. So I'm trying to make better food choices and make time to get exercise. I'd love to hear suggestions from any other mommies out there. Good luck to all of you on your adventures here on SparkPeople!!!

Hi Everyone! I'm Crystal. I am a 28-year-old single mother to a amazing little 3-month-old boy. I work full-time as a QI Coordinator at a Hospice agency and I have a 60-mile commute (one way) each day. It's difficult to fit in time for exercise but as of this week, I've been going to the gym after I get him to sleep at night (Staying with my parents until I feel adjusted to the whole being a single mom thing!). It makes for a long day but I know I have to push on. After giving birth I lost 30 pounds almost immediately but only because I was very sick. Now I'm down to the real 19 pounds left to lose and I know it's going to take some hard work and dedication, but I'm ready! I want to be able to run around with my little man in the future without having to take breaks because I'm too tired.

Greetings! I am 30 and live in central Texas. I work full time, have school-age kids, and am married to a stay-at-home dad. It's been nuts!! I now work a new shift which gives me more time in my day, however staying motivated to work out EVERY day is the hard part. I hope to find the motivation and support here :) Let's lose it!! We know we can!!

Hi, I am 35, work full time and have a four year old girl named Salome. I lost most of my pregnancy weight but my metabolism has changed over the past four years and I gain weight more easily than I did before my daughter was born. Between my daughter, my husband, and work I have pretty much lost the exercise habit and my eating habits are bad. I joined Spark - and this group - to get back on track!

Hello - I live in Orlando, have two boys, 13 & 10. I work full time, 5 days a week. I have been a Spark member for about 2yrs? I have not been consistant, but have been more dedicated in recent months.
It is so difficult to find a balance as a working mom.

Congrats on losses so far. Plateaus are the worst. From past experience I had to increase and/or change my exercise routine. My body got used to same old thing and just stopped losing. I think its available on DVD now--but back in the day Tae Bo really gave me a kick start. Hope this helps

Hi! My name is Kayla, I'm 24 and proud mother of a beautiful boy. Pre-pregnancy I weighed 135. The day my son was born I weighed 194. I currently weigh 147. My goal is to reach my pre-pregnancy weight by my son's second birthday (July1). I watch my calories and exercise but see no results.
I've weighed 147 for a year now. No loss, no gain. I'm at a loss at this point. I'm hoping to receive motivation and support with my membership to SparkPeople. :)

Hi... Totally new to sparkpeople and am still trying to find my way around. I am a married mother of a 15 month old son and i work full time. In january, right after my son turned 1, i decided it was time to get myself back in shape both mentally and physically, i really focused on my son the first year and finding balance in the whole new mom, wife, career thing and barely had time for me.
Since january i've lost a little over 10lbs running, spinning and eating right and i have less than 10 more to go to get back to my prepregnancy weight.
Just looking for a place to come to for support, ideas and inspiration to keep me motivated to keep taking care of myself along with my family

Hello. My name is Cheryl--and I've tried every weight loss program on the market. I hope to have better success here. I am a single parent of a wonderful 1 1/2 yr old. I came to motherhood late in life I am 42. I have struggled with weight all of my life from puberty til the present. I want to be more active for myself and my son's benefit. I am having more trouble with my weight this year due to changing jobs. I now sit at a desk 8 hours a day--before I was up and moving at least 80% of the day. Any tips are appreciated. Look forward to being on the team and future success!!

Hello everyone! My name is Heidi. I am 31 years old. I have two chidren. Preston is 12 and Emma is 5. I am also engaged to my best friend and getting married in August. My main reason for wanting to loose about 30 pounds. I have been at my job for 10 1/2 years. I find myself in that group of people wanting to loose that just can't find the time to prepare meal plans or exercise. I get up at 4:30am to get myself ready and then get the kids stuff together, get them up and ready at 6am and leave the house at 6:30am, drop them off at daycare and school, drive 45 minutes to work, work til 5pm without a break, drive 45 minutes back to my side of town to pick up kids from daycare. Then it's time for my 2nd job. Kids, housework, homework, dinner, baths, and bedtime around 9pm. When you only have between 6-9pm everynight with your family and that time is also being used for household chores and other things that have to be done, who wants to spend that 3 hours exercising when I have family that I need to be spending quality time with. This is my problem. I don't ask my fiance' to help with the household chores because he works 12-15 hours of hard labor everyday and I don't feel right asking him to help with these things when I sit all day long. I have an office job and the only time I get to leave my seat is to use the restroom. Anyway, I could use all the motivation I could get and I'm hoping to meet many of you and join in on the journey to a healthier, more fit parent.
Imagine that day, where you can finally say, "I did it!" When you can say, "I never gave up, I never quit!" Imagine that day when you win that gold medal, or reach your goal weight. Where these moments of pain turn into memories for that goal you wanted to obtain. It might take long to reach that moment, but as soon as you get there you'll thank yourself for THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.

Hello! I've not really posted on any of the Spark People forums even though I joined in 2009. I'm about half way through The Spark book and I have been inspired. I am the GM of a large retail store and also a Regional facilitator for my company. I am in college too (online) and a happily married mother of two teens. My life is crazy but I HAVE to make time to care of myself because my stress level is extremely high. I can manage it pretty well now but I know that it can take a bigger toll down the road and it won't be just the 'chubbiness' that is a side effect of it. I am generally quite extroverted at work but otherwise I am a bit of a loner. Its not totally intentional, I just don't have time for many social outlets. This seemed like a good place for me to try to build some support because there are probably many other women who can identify :).

I am glad to be starting on this team. I am a working mom. I am an RN and work fulltime 12.5 -13 hr shifts. I hate to be bored yet lack motivation to exercise. I do walk the dog but it isn't enough. I have purchased many DVDs and have a treadmill. I just need to get to work. I am hoping for support and inspiration. I was part of another team but I wasn't serious about it. I am ready. I need to get in shape for summer.

Hey Nancy! I'm Ginny. I'll be 36 on Tuesday, and I have 2 kids at home, ages 11 and 6. I am in need of losing the baby weight here 6 years later as well. I live in Virginia and am a high school teacher. I am walking and using the Wii Sports Active 2 as well. I had a hard time with the 6 week challenge, but I am really enjoying creating my own workouts! Hope to talk with you more soon! Have a great week!

Hi all, I'm Nancy, 38 year old mom to 2 very active boys, ages 8 and 5. I'm sadly still carrying baby weight from my 5 year old and after many attempts to lose it (some successful, just resulting in gaining it back) I'm really working to get back to a healthy weight. I've done Weight Watchers many times in the past but am now using SparkPeople to track my food and exercise, though I'm not doing the Spark Diet. I work full time outside the home, with one work-at-home day, doing software testing, which means sitting on my expanding rear all day long. I live in Colorado where the weather varies, during warmer months I walk my dog on nice long walks but it's harder to squeeze that in when it's dark so early at night - looking forward to changing the clocks next week! I take a Zumba class weekly through the fitness center at my office and am also doing a 6 week challenge on the Sports Active, an exercise program on the Wii. I weighed in at the beginning but have decided not to weight in again until after the challenge. Anyway I'm happy to be here and looking forward to participating in the forums.

Hello! My name is Kristy. I am a 31 year old mom of a 18 month old daughter who acts like she is 2.5! I am an admissions assistant at a Botanical Garden. In the winter months in NC (Dec-Feb) my hours have been crazy because they move admissions away from my desk and in the gift shop where I share my hours with two other ladies (shorting me on cash during these months). Once March begins my schedule becomes even again where I'll be working from 11am -5pm. My husband is a cable tech and is pretty much gone all day everyday with maybe a Saturday and Sunday off here and there. It is so hard to carve out some time for myself, but now that my daughter is in daycare it's made some time for myself (given she's not sick--1st year in daycare is awful!). I've joined this team because I needed support from people who know what it's like to try to work, take care of a family, deal with work vs. daycare and then crazy schedules. I was a part of Spark way back in 2007, but left it for awhile. I rejoined at the beginning of February and have been sticking with my 5K Your Way Rookie Running Program and am now in Stage 2 of the Spark Diet. Glad to meet everyone in this team!

Hey, I'm Mimi. I have never been thin, but I have always been pretty athletic. I had my second child 18 months ago (The first is 17 years old). I suffered massive postpartum depression and my metabolism tanked. Now that I am out of the hole, I am 228 pounds. MY. HEAVIEST.EVER.
I need to do something. I ave always been able to hit the gym and take it off quickly, but between my husband's and my schedule, it is hard to find any sort of time. I have to make it work.

Hello! I'm Jennifer and I have a very active 4 year old daughter and a husband who works 12 hour night shifts. It is hard to fit in working out after a 9 hour day and getting dinner ready before he heads off to work at night. Looking forward to meeting new people and finding a way to balance my work life, home life and workout life.

Hello - My name is Christina, 31, and I live in Santa Fe, NM. I had previously had some "luck" losing weight with Spark (lost about 30 lbs) but took sometime off when I was pregnant and after my baby was born. He is now almost 16 months and I have finally motivated myself enough to log back in and start the journey again. I work full time and go to school part time. I eventually want to lose about 150 lbs but plan to have small goals to get there.

I work full time, luckily from home as a health coach for a large insurance company. I suffered from severe baby blues, border lining on postpartum depression. As a health coach w/ a degree in exericse science I knew what I had to do but I was so depressed that I couldn't find the motivation. Last year I joined Weight Watchers and lost 25lbs. I would like to lose another 25lbs. Due to cost and lack of support on that website I have chosen to switch to Spark People. I really look forward to hearing everyone's stories and the support that this site provides.

Hi everybody. My name is Ashley & I'm 28 years old. I'm married to my high school love and together we have 2 daughters (5 years old & 2 years old). I work full time and up until last month I was also taking full time college classes. Although I would love to keep up with college classes I just don't have the time to put into them right now. Hopefully things will settle down soon and I can start again. Anyway I'm happy to be part of this team.
Hi! I'm Stephanie! I have three kids (two girls ages 9 & 7 and one boy age 5). I technically do not work right now, but I am a full time student (actually, over full time). When I graduate in August 2013 I will be going straight into the job market (hopefully) as a school psychologist. Even though I don't have a job I get paid to do, grad school really is a full time job! I also do the bookkeeping for my husband (he's an owner-operator truck driver).

Hello everyone, My name is Crystal. I am a new mother of a baby girl and we have two boys. I am not currently working, but I do feel that the time is going to come in the next couple of months that I'll be having to return to work even though I don't want to. I have been a working mother many years. We catch a lot of heat from SAHM's. I see it more and more lately, and it's rather annoying. I've been blessed with the chance to be a SAHM for the past 2.5 years. However, I feel more like a working mom because I spent more time working than not. I do have the itch to return to work at times, and there are many times I feel guilty because I'm not still working. However, I know I have until February/March before I have to return to work at this point. I look forward to getting to know all of you.
Struggling to lose weight so that I can keep up with my three kids. Come check out my blog at:
Hi, I'm Rachel. I joined SparkPeople this past June and I'm pretty happy with my progress so far. I originally joined one of the other mom groups, but found it really difficult to relate to the large number of stay at home moms. I'm hoping this group will be a better fit :). Both my husband and myself are full time working professionals and we have a beautiful 1 year old daughter that keeps up on our toes.

Hi! I'm Megan. I have been using Spark People on and off but have just recommitted myself. I have been married for 7 years. Both my husband and I work full time. We have 2 energetic boys (ST 5 and DT 3 ). My 5 year old just started kindergarten so we are still adjusting to the time crunch from when we get off work to bedtime at 8. Not to mention both boys are starting soccer in a few weeks. I am looking foward to learning how other working mothers fit everything into their nights.

Hi all! My name is Laura. I am the proud mom of three amazing kids (DS1 is 14, DD is 8 and DS2 is 6). I have been married to my husband for 16 years. I work full time, my husband works full time and then some and our two oldest are involved in extracurricular activities (marching band and soccer) so pretty much every evening is completely NUTS! I feel like I have been spinning out of control the last few years and put on 30 pounds that I had initially lost. I am trying to find support for other moms that feel the stresses of working and trying to be a good mom and wife. Hoping this will be just the team for me! I look forward to getting to know you!

I'm returning to SparkPeople after a total lapse in my healthy living plan. I'm super committed this time and aim to lose about 20 pounds. I am a working mom to an amazing 18 month old daughter. I am on the Board of Directors for her daycare, which is a nonprofit, and work full-time in fundraising for a nonprofit youth and family support agency. I've been kicking around ideas for launching my own nonprofit or small business some day, too! I look forward to getting and giving support to other like-minded mamas!

I'm new too. I'm a working mom, and mother of three. Working at my current job for 10 yrs now. I have a Great spouse that helps me alot. My wgt has been a constant yo-yo. When I met my current husband I was only 105lbs. and I was 112 lbs when I married, soon after I got pregnant and gained almost 60lbs(each pregnancy was the same wgt gain)To make matters worse I had preeclamsia(Very HBP during pregnancy)I had my two older ones early, luckily my youngest one did not. After having the last child, I lost most of the wgt. gained, but creeping in slowly, the wgt started coming back. Within the last two yrs I gained 40 lbs! I started my wgt loss again on July 27, 2011-started drinking water and stopped drinking caffeine. This really helped me alot! I so far lost over 30 lbs now! I went to the dr. office last wk, and Voila! no more HBP meds for me. Its gone! I'm hoping to stick to this lifestyle for a while and eating right and avoiding sweets and fats. I'm glad I found this site!

Hi Ladies, I'm a new member to the team. I just came back to work full time after my maternity leave and now I'm struggling to keep on top of everything and try to lose the baby weight. I'm looking for helpful suggestions on how to keep on top of making healthy meals for my family that will allow me to keep losing weight and provide all the needed nutrition for my husband and baby boy. Thanks for having me!

Hi, I noticed that you would like to do running. I started running after recovering from a long illness, I used a podcast called couchpotato to 5k, it was great taking me from being able to run for 30 seconds to 30 minutes in 8 weeks! Once you get the buzz from running, it takes over and it is great exercise.

Hi, I am a mother of two and with my husband working very long hours I do a lot of running around after them. I also run my own business and am in the final year of a degree course. Phew! I am an emotional eater too, I can see myself reaching for food as a I get stressed or the kids are arguing:( Any ideas would be appreciated.
I have recently cancelled my gymn membership because I didnt have time to go, but go running and walk the dog. As the colder weather comes can anyone recommend some great exercise videos (without yucky boring music)?

I am the mother of a two and a half old son and I work 40 plus hours a week. On top of that, my husband and I are trying to get pregnant and I am thinking about a small career change. I'm busy and pretty stressed most of the time. I have a full plate, so exercise is usually what takes a back seat. I am also an emotional eater. So, add all that up, and what do you get??? Can use some encouragement, support and more than anything, accountability.

Hello Ladies, my name is Anna. I am a mother of 2. My son is going into 4th grade. My daughter is going into 3rd grade. I work 25 hours a week. I drop my kids off at school on the way to work. Then leave work in order to pick them up at the end of the day.
This is my second time on Spark. I'm looking for a positive, active team to chat with and stay motivated. I didn't want a huge team that I wouldn't be able to make connections with. I'm hoping this team will be a good fit for me. (I literally browsed the team listing for an hour before picking this one).

Hi I'm Rebecca. I've been on Spark since September 2010 and just found this team. I'm about halfway to my goal, but I was hoping to reach it by now. I've been stuck on a plateau all winter I think. Hoping to kick things up with warmer weather and spring and all of that.
I'm married, work full-time (desk job), and have a 4 year old daughter (soon to be 5 in a few weeks). She starts K this fall so we are all excited about that.
I find it challenging to eat right at home. Packing lunches can be challenging but at least I'm not tempted by the kitchen all day long. On "sick days" and weekends I have less Spark time and more nibble time. Very bad!
Anyway looking forward to connecting to other working moms here. :-)

Hi! I am Kate. I am restarted but this time around I am a Mom of a 16 month old. I want to be healthy because my body is telling me that I need to lose the weight so I can stop being in pain. I join this group because I need support. My husband does not care if I am fat or skinny and always sexy to him. But that does not give me much motivation. So I am looking for a group that will be supportive.

Hey everyone, My name is Tabi and I just found this team and decided to join, I joined sparkspeople back in '09 I am pretty sure but wasn't really mentally there. However this time around I am super excited and motivated to do this right, I want to lose weight and need to lose weight so here I am. I am the momma as she calls me to a 6 year old daughter. Hard to believe she is 6 already. I work at a preschool running around and playing with 20 small children from the ages of 3 to 5 four days a week. I love my job, but it can be challenging at times. My boyfriend works at a coal mine. We live in Wyoming and I love it here, there is so much outdoor fun to be had. I am very excited for this summer, and would like to be about 20 pounds lighter at least by the time we go on our summer vacation.
Good luck to everyone and have a great day!! Tabi

Hi, I'm Amy and new to the site and this group. One week down and many more good weeks to come. I work a full-time job and have two children - 9 yr old girl and 3 yr old boy. I want to be a good example to them as well as be more active with them. Working full time and then getting home to fix dinner isn't always easy and then there are other things to do around the house. I am learning to take time to walk in the evening with a walking tape. Watch out world - I'm gonna hit the 150s one day sooner than I think.
I am glad to be a part of the site and this working moms group. I need all the support I can get!

Hi Everyone - I'm Helen.
I'm finally getting back to making myself a priority and looking for support from other working moms who are tackling bad eating habits, finding ways to make the time to exercise, and still managing to balance everyone and everything else in their lives!
