Alexa, welcome to the team!! We are glad you are here! It is a long hard journey, but every step has been worth it. Congratulations on making the decision to be healthy! I can't wait to hear about your weekly transformations!! It is great to meet you! We usually post about how our journey is going in the daily accountablity thread. I think you'll find our group very supportive!!
Hi there!I'm Alexa,I'm in my 30's, I live in Europe and I lost 100 pounds twice, then I put it back on; now it's the third time and hope to shed off the weight and keep it that way.
Not only that but I want to get in best shape ever. I started Body For Life, a weight training program of 12 weeks. I keep a weekly blog about my workout.
I did 2 weeks of BFL then I read that the author of BFL invented Transformation,a 18 weeks weight training program, so I opted for Transformation.
Now I currently want to do 18 weeks x2 times=36 weeks of Transformation.
It's hard it's very hard why should I lie, and I NEED TO LOSE SO MANY POUNDS=150POUNDS IT'S DEPRESSING ME. BUT THAT IS WHY I NEED TO CHANGE MY LIFESTYLE.
I'm looking forward to get to know you, girls. My page is set on private,I added most of you as friends but if you want to go my page just send me an email and I'll add you as friend so you can visit my page. LOL!

My name is Amy, I'm 33 and have been married to my hubby for 6 years. We have two kids - 5 and 11. I've been gaining weight pretty steadily since meeting my husband and it's time for it to STOP! I'm committed to adding more exercise into my life . . . I LOVE Zumba and am trying to become a runner with the Couch 2 5K program (just did the first day yesterday). I need to get better with working strength training into my routine and making more healthy food choices. I'm just getting started, so I'm looking forward to the energy boost everyone talks about!
I joined this team today because it seems like a great group of women and a great way to stay accountable to each other. However, I'm getting ready to leave for a 10-day camping trip in 2 days, so I will be out of internet accessibility for awhile and will not be able to Spark daily. Hope everyone understands, and I promise to be active when I get back!

Hi team! My name is Kelly. I am a stay at home mom to a 4 and 5 year old. My hubby is my heart and soul. My goals is to be a fit mom and be able to run and chase my kids. I was a huge couch potato and had absolutely no energy. All that has changed! I have lost 25 lbs and feel great! I love spark and all the tools here at my fingertips! I'm looking forward to getting to know the team.. Have a great day everyone !
Hi My name is Chris, I currently separated from my husband, I have 1 son who is 21. My weight problem started about 10 years ago. I slowly put on weight. Now that I quit smoking it is getting worse. I have been working my butt off, burning calories, but then I like to stuff my mouth with food. So I am here, to try and get motivated and to stop stuffing junk into my mouth. I have been on Spark for a while, I just haven't used it too much. I have just too busy, but now I am going to make time for it. See ya on the threads. Chris

HI everyone, I'M Simera will be 41 in June. have been married almost 18 y/o. Have one son who is 15. I'm OWED by 3 cats. I have been Sparking almost 6 months (April 20th). Love this site. I didn't have a weight issue until after I got married and had my son. Lost about 30 pds when I was in my late 20/early 30 but it start to creep back on so I had to do something. I have lost 20 pd and have been able to keep it off for 2 years. I look forward to getting to know you all and the challenges look like fun!
Hi, Ladies! So good to read about all of you to get to know you!
My name is Alyssa and I am 27 years old. I have two beautiful children: Ethan 4 and Lexi 2 (almost 3!). I have been married for 6 years next month. I work full time as a secretary to 7 attorneys and 65 law students (wow, busy busy). I also attend college full time at night to get my bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. One of my big goals is to lose weight so that I can become a police officer. I wanna be a woman that can kick some butt if I have to! I would also like to get my masters degree and then PhD in Criminolgy. Just call me Dr. Alyssa! :D
I used to be athletic in high school, but always on the verge of being heavy. After I quit sports in high school to make more time for marching band, I started to balloon. Then, after high school, there I went. My mom was always heavy, and she died unexpectedly 3 days before we had Ethan. My dad also has some major health issues related to his weight. He had a quadruple heart bypass surgery when I was six months pregnant with Lexi. My sister, who is 18 months older than I, went from 230-ish to 155. She looks amazing and she is a major part of my inspiration.
I love SP because it does keep me going, but I need a small group like this so that I can really get to know people for support and accountability. I look forward to getting to know all of you better, to form great bonds, and to losing weight/getting healthy with you all! HUGS!

Hi All, My name is Nina and I am a 45 year old mother of 2. A girl 14 and boy 16. I have been married to my husband for 21 years. I have been battling my weight my whole life.
I was a public school teacher and then I got beat up and had two shoulder surgeries so I am now a realtor. I also raise and show American Saddlebred horses.
I am looking forward to this team as I agree with Terri that some of the teams are very big or there is no accountability thread.

My name's Jessie, but I respond to Saff too... I'm 27 years old, and I'm going to be married to a wonderful guy in May. My main motivation for exercizing and eating right right now is to make sure I fit into my wedding dresses...
However, as someone who has had an opposite issue from most people, I know I need to learn how to eat and exercize properly. Growing up I had a hormone issue that for some reason made it that I didn't gain weight. I was 23 years old before I got that fixed and I was only 95 lbs at 5'5" tall.
I'm now floating between 140 and 150 and I feel better about my body but because I never had to concern myself with what I was eating before, I need to really concentrate and pay attention or I won't realize what's happening with my body.
So I'm glad I found Sparkpeople and I'm even more glad that I've found a wonderful group here who is SO supportive and friendly. You guys are really what has me coming back and trying to stay with my goals.
Thanks a million guys!

Hey! I am so glad you started this team Terri! Thanks for the invite. I totally am a daily checker iner type of person!
My name is Jolette but my family calls be Jola. I am 27 years old and I am a teacher, currently working in special education. I live in Montana with my husband of 3 years. I love to run, read, take walks, decorate and hang out with friends. I also prefer smaller groups of people.
My weight struggle started about 8 years ago my freshman year of college, but really escalated my sophomore year. I am a recovering binge eater. For years I just ignored it and didn't know what the problem was. I would eat really healthy and then bang, I would binge like crazy. It is a horrible, horrible thing to deal with. Finally about a year ago I decided to actually figure out what was going on, I "came clean" to my husband first (because I didn't secretly want to see a therapist without him knowing. I started seeing a therapist and discovered what the issue was that was causing my to binge. (Basically, I never felt good enough for my mom growing up and then internalized it and never was good enough for myself) Anyway, it is something I still occasionally have to deal with. Basically 2-3 times a week I think about it. My binges have mostly disappeared (I have stopped them from happening and/or don't have the urge) and if/when I do "binge" it is not nearly to the degree that I was for 7 years.
Well from this binge problem I put on some weight (at my highest 40 pounds, I also was a heavy exerciser without which I would have easily gained 100 pounds!) I now am 20 pounds from my goal and really have DECIDED to buckle down and attack this thing! I know it is a choice and hard one some days but I know in the end it will be worth it!
Sorry I am so long winded!

Hi...my real name is Kathe and I've been struggling with my weight for like 2 decades now and I'm sick of it. I just recently restarted SP and I'm working really hard to lose 72 lbs. I was a Paramedic...but I'm now a SAHM of 3 (ages 3, 18, and 21). Hubby and I have been married 5 years and he too works in the EMS field.
Well my name is Terri. I am a 43 year old single mother of a 21 year old. I have been living with my SO for 10 years now and it works pretty good for us!! I have been over weight my whole life and also a smoker since high school. I have never felt good honestly. Always tired and just having problems after problems really. It seems the last 10 years I just let myself go even more and go into a horrible rut where I let life go by me!! Well NO more!! I began my healthy lifestyle on Jan. 20 and then quit smoking on Feb. 21st. I have more energy then I have ever had. I feel awesome!! I have 21 pounds left to loose but also want to maintain it this time!! This is a lifelong commitment to myself!! Anyway, welcome to the group!!
