Hi, my names Karli. I live in Oregon City, Oregon. I am planning on this being my year to turn the clock around! I have always dieted and exzcersized wrong. I push myself to 5 pound a week goals and then after 2 months I crash. This time I am shooting for 2 pounds a week and a much longer goal date. I turn 30 in 2 years and 6 weeks and I want to be 165! That's 50 pounds in over two years, not so unrealistic I don't think.
I am a Horticulture student and this year I have a GIANT garden so I will be eatting a ton of veggies. I have also in the last 2 months changed my diet to consume more fiber, less sugars. I could do better though!
My exercise plan is to do Jazzercise, and the center is a mile down the street. I want to work up to walking 3 miles a day. I live in a fabulous historic neighborhood and their is a rive view path behind me, plus a GIANT STAIRCASE that I hate to use haha. I am also signing up for a 10 week yoga class 3 blocks away(if that goes well I will continue), and I have a lot of hiking planned for this summer.
I am in fairly good shape even though I am totally fat. I do utilize the stairs, take a jog/walk sometimes, labor in my garden, and remain active. So I don't think my plan is totally unreasonable.
I am a student so once this term ends on June 10th I will have a lot of free time to focus on the first 4 months of weightloss, after that I will be cutting down to just Jazzercise and yoga.
I am definitely a emotional eater and boy do I have a lot to be emotional about! That will probably come in later posts in a group who is comfortable with feelings talks.
Nice to meet everyone, I hope I find some buddies and I hope we all achieve our goals. I think just by being here we are saying YES I can!
