I have just re started SP again, I have about 80 pounds to lose to get to my goal of 150. once I get to that I may choose to make another goal. You are doing the right things Tracy take snack food good job it's tough at times but we can do it!!
Also congrats on the 4 pounds, I cant wait until I get to weigh myself, I'm trying for only once a week, but my scale is at my moms and i cant get there until Wednesday so it will be almost another week before I can weigh in but I sure am excited.
Hi, I just started SparkPeople too. I'm amazed with how much it has to offer. I've already became addicted to the site as well as eating healthy and working out.
My advice...Plan out all of your meals and your snacks before the day begins. Track them. Plan your workouts for the week and track them. It works, I have lost 4 lbs. in 4 days and am thrilled to see that this is working. Another thing I have done is eliminate soda beverages and intake 8 glasses of water daily. It's really simple if you eat well balanced meals and eat healthy snacks and workout it works! Maybe try bringing your snacks to work with you and avoid those vending machines all together. Not only will you be eating healthier but you will also be saving money.
You can do it. Set your mind to it and don't let anything change it.
I joined SparkPeople last week and had my annual physical today. It was embarassing to see that over the last 5 years I have gained 40 pounds! ICK! I have been thinking about losing weight a lot, but have not been sticking to healthy ways of living on a consistent basis and am starting anew. I really like this web site and all it has to offer. Never having been an online poster, I am also hoping to gain and offer support to others as a method for motivation.
My husband and I eat healthy dinners, but is the snacking that is my downfall. I work 3 long days and hit the vendng machines throughout the day and this needs to stop! I started taking fruit, carrots and almonds to work and need to leave all my money at home to stave off temptation.
My goal is to lose 110 pounds to get to 130, train for another sprint distance triathlon and buy a fabulous dress to wear to the theatre.
My husband, Jerry is a terrific support and jokes that he will be having to fend off all the other guys as I lose weight! Hey, that would not be such a bad thing!
There is so much to be happy about and positive people and events surrounding me and I just know that without this extra person I am carrying around I will become a better me, not to mention I will feel less distracted and then be able to more on to other life goals on the long list.
