I joined SparkPeople last week and had my annual physical today. It was embarassing to see that over the last 5 years I have gained 40 pounds! ICK! I have been thinking about losing weight a lot, but have not been sticking to healthy ways of living on a consistent basis and am starting anew. I really like this web site and all it has to offer. Never having been an online poster, I am also hoping to gain and offer support to others as a method for motivation.
My husband and I eat healthy dinners, but is the snacking that is my downfall. I work 3 long days and hit the vendng machines throughout the day and this needs to stop! I started taking fruit, carrots and almonds to work and need to leave all my money at home to stave off temptation.
My goal is to lose 110 pounds to get to 130, train for another sprint distance triathlon and buy a fabulous dress to wear to the theatre.
My husband, Jerry is a terrific support and jokes that he will be having to fend off all the other guys as I lose weight! Hey, that would not be such a bad thing!
There is so much to be happy about and positive people and events surrounding me and I just know that without this extra person I am carrying around I will become a better me, not to mention I will feel less distracted and then be able to more on to other life goals on the long list.
Thanks to everyone that is out there being supportive and giving good advice. I am sure I will be leaning on you!
