Wow I love it! I always have loved home grown food that is more authentic. Too many gross processed food out there! As a tip you should try to make your own salad dressing, I have discovered how to make close to zero calorie dressings! It's better for you with out all the guilt!
My husband and I gave up processed food, eating out, and other things for the new years. We have been having so much fun learning to do things that were probably common knowledge just a few generations ago: making our own chicken stock, making our own coconut milk (ok, most places don't do that - but here on island was a traditional practice!), and trying to grow our own herbs! We've also started trying to make our own mayonnaise and salad dressings, and all sorts of fun things!
It's so exciting learning to get back to basics, and learn to use the kitchen to MAKE food, not just eat purchased things :)
