Janee, never give up. You just have to find the right foods for your body. I refuse to call myself being on a diet because all the "diets" I've done I failed at miserably! I am on a healthy lifestyle now. Which includes what I eat, how much I get moving, how I care for myself physically and mentally. It all works together like a team and we have to find that individual balance. Best of luck in 2015. I know we can all find a way to reach our goals one step at a time.

It is so true. I jumped into my '50s feeling great and then two years later menopause hit and I felt as though I'd been hit by a truck! No matter what I do, the weight is not coming off and before it was so fast! My cholesterol and bp are slowly creeping towards the high numbers. I want to beat this and be healthier!

Hi ladies. I am going to be 52 this year and also can relate to what your going through. I hav been on sparkpeople for a couple of years but really haven't used it to it's fullest. I don't have any thing great to give you right now. All I can say is don't give up! Any thing worth having is worth fighting for. Lets band together and be each other's encouragement starting out this New Year 2015 and kick some butt. However big or small. Progress is good! emoticon

I'm right there with you. I've tried protein shakes, nutribullet, weightwatchers, you name it. Including all kinds of products that say you'll loose weight. Just joined Sparkpeople today so I'm sorry I'm not much help to you right now. But I do feel your pain.

You know when I hit 50 everything started going down hill. Between menopause and inflammatory arthritis and all the meds I'm on especially the Prednisone all I'm doing is gaining weight. I'm not very good at dieting because there are so many different things out there and it just confuses me. Do I count calories, points, watch fat or carbs. I just have no idea. I need help and I'm hoping that someone out there can tell me what I need to do.
