Hello! I hope all are doing well. This is the first time I posted on this team. I use herbs that I grow in pots in my garden to replace salt in my food. I just try to stay way from prepared foods. I also read the labels on everything I eat and decide if the item is worth the amount of sodium listed. Usually I am shocked and do not feel it is worth so much sodium. I found that after a while, I did not need the salt. I do not miss the salt and things taste very salty when I eat out-( not very often). I wish all the best.

Hello I'm Debi and I'm new to SparkPeople and I joined this team because I need to find ways to lower my sodium intake. Does anyone have any suggestions to help me do this other than stop using salt. Is there a salt substitute that I can use. Thanks for having me. Have a great day.

Hi again; my name is Gina and I am from NYC. I decided to join this team because I am seeking to reduce my daily intake of sodium. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure many years ago, but have lost quite a lot of weight since then and I believe that it is time to start weaning myself of the low-dose maintenance med I am on.
