Welcome to the board! I too am hoping to find the motivation to get myself moving in the right direction. I also am considering the surgery route, but I know you have to lose 10 pounds on your own before you can get surgery. I figure that if I can manage to take 10 pounds off on my own, I can just look at 10 pound increments and eventually I will have the 100+ pounds gone.
Hello! My name is Nicole, I live in Tennessee. I am a 32y/o married woman from Ohio. This is my 3rd (?) attempt with SP. I am at my heaviest ever and my absolute unhappiest. I desperately need to lose weight for my physical and mental health. This go-round I joined SP with a friend/co-worker so maybe at least we can help keep each other in check and motivated. The biggest barriers to my weight loss that I can see right now are my chronic, debilitating back pain (to the point where I can't even grocery shop for more than a few minutes) and the fact that I work an 8-hr day an hour's commute from home. I need to lose over 100 pounds and very much want to do this without going the surgery route. I have 1 child from a previous relationship; she does not live with us. I would love little more than to give my amazingly wonderful husband a child of his own. Until I lose the weight, it is nowhere near possible. My body requires medication to even trigger a cycle. :-(
