Welcome to the team. Yes, I know it is a few months later...I am now back on, getting serious about losing the last 3 baby weight kilo. Baby Liora is turning 4 months this week.
bienvenue a le groupe belgian team , moi je parle normalment le flamand et l'anglais, mais aussi un peu francais ! j'habite pres d'anvers ;) . A+ x betty
Welcome to the team or should I says, soyez la bienvenue ;o) French is supposed to be my second language (Dutch being my native language) but I must confess that my English is much more fluent.
I guess it's because we use it more often and hear it a lot too (radio, television). We are one the few countries who subtitle foreign language series and films and I'm soooo grateful they do because I think it helped me a lot ! Only kids stuff is dubbed here.
I think most people post in English because it's the common language here. If I post something in French, I'm not sure all of our team members would be able to understand.
So I'll keep posting in English too if you don't mind. Anyway, I hope you find all of the info and support you need !
Bonne chance !
Carpe diem !
Hi everyone! My name is Sandy and I'm an American-born Canadian (I like to pick and choose depending on the company :)) living in Belgium. I've been here for 16 years and speak French - can muddle through basic written Dutch if it looks enough like English :) It seems there are a lot of people that speak different languages but may be afraid to post anything other than English...not sure why. Whatever keeps you going! So if anyone wants to post in French to me, I will gladly reply - you are really taking your chances in Dutch though. My heart is there, just not my brain. I live just south of Brussels, in Lasne, near the battlefields of Waterloo. I'm looking forward to doing this once and for all!
